Page boys in dinosaur onesies, a dog with a go pro and a tree lined aisle. Yes<\/em> it’s time for Tom and Gee’s wedding.<\/p>\n

Tom and Gee were married on a glorious summers day in a church ceremony followed by marquee reception at Gee’s home in Dorset. The countryside setting was incredible and don’t even get me started on the flowers. The arrangements in the marquee blew me away, wild, colourful and super green, which really had wow factor.<\/p>\n

Gee chose a darling Belle and Bunty<\/a> gown which looked just so beautiful, teamed with trainers and sweet flower crown. The gents donned traditional attire while the bridesmaid wore a Ghost frock. Oh the style.<\/p>\n

THE PROPOSAL | At my parents home when they were away in front of the fire.<\/p>\n

THE VISION | We wanted the wedding to reflect us so nothing was very matchy matchy and we wanted it to be very much a country wedding so nothing too smart and lots of greenery.<\/p>\n

THE PLANNING PROCESS | It was very easy and uncomplicated as we had it at home and we sort of knew what we both wanted. We had 5 months between getting engaged and getting married so it was fairly quick but surprisingly un-stressful!<\/p>\n

THE VENUE | Gee\u2019s home in Dorset.<\/p>\n

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | Vintage dress, floral headdress by my best friend Tattie Rose Flowers and trainers.<\/p>\n

FINDING THE DRESS | Mum and I had one morning of trying them on and it was the first one we saw. We got it from Blackburn Bridal in Blackheath who were absolutely lovely.<\/p>\n

GROOM\u2019S ATTIRE | A navy blue morning coat.<\/p>\n

THE READINGS & MUSIC | We had The Owl and the Pussycat poem and all the usual songs – Jerusalam etc! Gee walked in to \u2018Can You Feel The Love Tonight\u2019 by Elton John played on the organ and we had modern fun music while we were signing the register. We wanted the church part of the day to not be too serious!<\/p>\n

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | Gee\u2019s sister, Iona, was the only bridesmaid. She chose her own dress from Ghost. My nephews were page boys and dressed up in their little crocodile onesies because the first time we\u2019d met is at Bestival when Tom was wearing one.<\/p>\n

THE FLOWERS | One of my best friends did the flowers – it was wild, over the top and wonderful. She’d put trees inside the church and a beech hedge dividing the marquee. We also sent out with our invitations a bit of bunting which guests had to send back with their replies. We then strung all the bunting up around the marquee. We’ve still got these and are going to hang them up around the house.<\/p>\n

THE CAKE | A close friend of ours made the most amazing chocolate crackling cake. Gee and her were at prep school together and it was the same recipe from school which they both loved.<\/p>\n

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | The wonderful Louise Adby!! She did the most stunning job.<\/p>\n

THE DETAILS & D\u00c9COR | We kept everything very simple as didn\u2019t want to worry about the small things. However Tattie went mad with the most incredible flowers which were stunning. We had bunting strung up around the marquee which had all been decorated by our guests as their RSVP which we hope one day to put up all around our house!<\/p>\n

THE HONEYMOON | We went to France for a few days after and then about 6 months later we backpacked for a month around southern India.<\/p>\n

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | The music, coming out the church, our lovely boxer dog following all the food around while filming everyone with a go pro on his back and dancing. It was all pretty magical.<\/p>\n

The page boys were dressed in miniature crocodile onesies which Tom had been wearing when we first met. The vicar’s sermon was all about the Spice girls and the music was all modern so I came into the Lion King and during the signing of the registers we had ‘All That Jazz’ and ‘Can You Hear The People Sing’ from Les Mis.<\/p>\n

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Relax. No one cares about the small things. As long as there is enough food, booze and some good music then everyone will be very happy!<\/p>\n
