Hi Alexis, could you firstly tell WWW readers a little bit about you?<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

My name is Alexis Jaworski. Despite my name, I am a male photographer and from South America\u2026 but with Polish origins. I have lived in Peru (Lima), Italy (Rome), Belgium (Liege) and now in England (Reading) for the last 16 years.<\/p>\n

What do you love and dislike about your job?<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

I love the freedom and creativity that wedding photography provides me with. I love documenting weddings and the interactions between people in what is a very special day for the couple but also for their families and friends. There is not much I dislike about I do to be honest, but I could do with some less admin and photographing more.<\/p>\n

How did you get into the wedding industry?<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

I always thought that I would be a \u201cbusiness man\u201d \u2013 not sure exactly what I had in mind. I graduated from the University of Liege with a degree in business administration and post-graduate degree in management sciences. I worked as an account manager for a marketing agency, an operations manager for a start up company and then a management consultant. I never felt that I \u201cfitted in\u201d and enjoyed my work. I also graduated with an MBA throughout my career. I found photography around 2010 and I fell in love with it. I was asked to photograph a wedding in 2012. I trained with a photographer for 5 months before that wedding and as they say the rest is history. I have been working full time as a wedding photographer since 2013 and I love it. I also practice street photography in my spare time.<\/p>\n

Tell us about your typical working day.<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

There is no real typical day really\u2026 Most of my mornings will start with dealing with enquiries or couples e-mails. During wedding season, a lot of the time will be spent in editing or post-processing images, preparing galleries, etc.. During the off-season (January, February) a lot of the time will be spent in marketing, admin and getting ready for the new season again.<\/p>\n

If you could choose another role in the wedding industry what would it be?<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

I think that wedding planning could be an option as I am very organised and good at management client relationships. I would miss the creative element that wedding photography brings though\u2026.<\/p>\n

What do you aim to achieve for your clients?<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

I want to provide couples with meaningful, emotive and beautiful images of their wedding day. I want them to be very happy with their images and with the service I offer. I am very professional, I always reply timely to questions and enquiry and I aim to help as much as I can.

What style is your work? How would you describe your style in three words?<\/h1>\n

Could you tell us some information about your packages\/prices?<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

I offer collections that include only the digital files and some that includes albums. I always recommend couples to choose an album if they can as I believe that images look great in print but happy to offer a files only option. My prices for digital coverage \u00a31900 and including an album at \u00a32500.<\/p>\n

Do you have any tips for couples in selecting their photographer?<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

I genuinely believe that wedding images are important. Not only for shortly after the wedding to \u201crelive\u201d the day but also for years to come and for future generations. Everybody has a budget but it is always good to focus on the quality of the images that a photographer offers. See how you respond to the images that you see from a photographer, do you connect with them? Do you feel anything when you look at them? If you focus on this first, then you can look at the price and I recommend then to go for the photographer whose images resonate more with you. If the budget is tight, go for a files option only, you can always order an album at a alter date. It is more important to have great images than having average images and an album.<\/p>\n

Are you seeing any trends for the year ahead?<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

Not really but I do not tend to follow trends much. I just love weddings images to be about the couple and emotions.<\/p>\n

Can you give us a teaser about what you are working on now?<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

During the \u201coff-season\u201d, I tend to work on personal projects. Last year, I documented a wedding in Turkey in Bodrum and after I went to Istanbul for a few days to do some street photography. I am just finishing sorting through the images and I am working on a street photography website. It will include images from Istanbul (been there twice), Berlin, Paris, London and New York. I will be going to Morocco, Barcelona, Dallas and maybe Istanbul again in the next year so hope add more images. I have also been documenting my Tae Kwon Do (Martial Arts) school, where I train, and helping them getting images for their website. I find that it helps my creativity to work on other photography projects. The wedding season is also ready to start at the tie of writing (early March) so I am getting ready for this too.<\/p>\n
