{w} Hi Adam, could you firstly tell {www} readers a little bit about you?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Hello! I\u2019m Adam, a wedding photographer based in Manchester. I mainly cover weddings for brides and grooms in Manchester and Cheshire but will travel around the UK and overseas if a couple want me as their photographer.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m also a very proud family man \u2013 I\u2019ve been married myself for four years, have a three year old little boy and one on the way due later in 2011. Give me a wedding on a Saturday and a day playing with my family on a Sunday and you have my perfect weekend!<\/p>\n

Oh, and 2011 is the year that I turn 30!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

{w} What do you love\/dislike about your job?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I love everything about my life as a wedding photographer! No two weddings are ever the same and anyone who says that they are is just plain wrong! It\u2019s an absolute privilege to do this \u2018job\u2019 and I love being part of such a special time in people\u2019s relationships and lives.<\/p>\n

I love getting to know people in the build up, feeling like a friend or part of the family on a wedding day and then keeping in touch with my couples afterwards.<\/p>\n

As much as I love handing over people\u2019s beautiful albums and seeing their emotional reactions to their wedding photos, I always feel a little bit sad at this time because that means it\u2019s the end of their wedding. I\u2019m an old sentimental at heart!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

{w} How did you get into photography and into the wedding industry?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I guess like most photographers there isn\u2019t a time when I can\u2019t remember having some interest in taking pictures. As I got older the interest got stronger, became a hobby, became an obsession then a passion and now a profession.<\/p>\n

I never intended or expected to be a wedding photographer but I assisted a friend with a wedding and instantly fell in love with it. I always knew I wanted to take photos of people, and I knew I could bring my own style and approach to wedding photography. And like I\u2019ve said, I love the whole process \u2013 not just the \u2018on the day\u2019 photography but the people side and getting to know my couples, I love making the pictures look their absolute best and I love making stunning wedding albums and seeing peoples faces when they look through them for the first time.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

{w} What do you aim to achieve for your clients?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Perfection. I\u2019ve been a perfectionist my whole life and while it can be a pain because I refuse to settle for second best, my clients know that I only want to produce the best for them. I\u2019m obsessed with quality and only work with suppliers who make products of a quality I would be proud to own.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

{w} What style is your work? <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Very natural, quite relaxed, and fun. While I put a huge amount of effort into understanding peoples wedding day plans and planning their photography into that with them, I primarily capture their day as it happens without interfering or being a pest.<\/p>\n

But I feel it\u2019s so important to make time for some special photographs of the newlyweds together and I always plan a couple of sessions into the day to make sure these photos happen. Otherwise it can be amazing how little time brides and grooms actually spend together on their wedding day.<\/p>\n

I create beautiful, natural images which will stand the test of time. No fiddling or effects in photoshop that\u2019ll be naff in five years. And doing this results in a consistent look so that in my wedding albums one page flows nicely into the next to build up the visual story of a couple\u2019s special day.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

{w} Could you tell us some information about your packages\/prices?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Well I only offer complete wedding day coverage. I can\u2019t imagine only capturing a small portion of the story. I\u2019m there from the morning preparations to the evening party which again allows me to stand back and capture events as they unfold, without the pressure of knowing I have to get shots A, B and C by a certain time.<\/p>\n

I offer three main packages \u2013 an album including a disc of your album images, a disc of all the images from the day and a DVD slideshow, or a combination of both \u2013 my prices start at \u00a31,750.<\/p>\n

All my packages include this unlimited coverage, as well as a pre-wedding shoot to allow my clients to get used to having their photo taken by me before the big day. This shoot is such a vital part of the wedding photography process as it makes my couples realise that having their photo by me is easy and fun, and I get to understand how they react to me, the camera and each other. A great \u2018warm up\u2019 to achieve better wedding day photos.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

{w} Do you have any tips for couples in selecting their wedding photographer<\/strong><\/em><\/span>?<\/p>\n

Yes, simple \u2013 pick me!<\/p>\n

But seriously, I know how difficult it can be to choose your wedding suppliers, including a photographer who you\u2019re trusting to capture the only thing that will be left the day after so I do have advice:<\/p>\n

– Look at the photos first, then the price. You get what you pay for. You don\u2019t want to look back and wish you had better photos to remember the day by.<\/p>\n

– Find a photographer you really like and feel you could get on with on a personal level. This is the most important thing. Do you feel comfortable in their company? Do you feel like they like you too?<\/p>\n

– Make sure you see one or more complete weddings, not just a best-of gallery and most will have at least one sample album they\u2019ve designed themselves.<\/p>\n

– Make sure they offer a real world (not studio) pre-wedding shoot. It\u2019s honestly such an important phase of the process.<\/p>\n

– Make sure you ask the boring questions about insurance, backup equipment etc<\/p>\n
