Good morning lovelies, I hope you have had a wondrous week thus far. I am going to make your Wednesday sing when you clap eyes on these super beautiful nuptials today.<\/p>\n

WWW readers Liam and Anna chose to get hitched on the 23rd July 2016 at Meols Hall<\/a> in Southport, Merseyside. The vision was simple, to create a rustic bespoke and home made wedding. The results were stunning, with a mix of creative wedding suppliers and talented loved ones coming together to put on a gorgeous wedding celebration.<\/p>\n

Anna’s show-stopping illusion back dress was by Claire Pettibone<\/a> and she sure was a sight to behold. Dress envy! Liam chose a dapper three piece number teamed with mustard tie and pale pink rose buttonhole. Out of all of the lovely touches the lolly stick table plan really stands out, alongside the cake and flowers of course. You’re going to want to pin everything<\/em>.<\/p>\n

THE PROPOSAL | 10th February 2014, the groom asked Anna\u2019s father if it would be OK for him to ask his daughter to marry him while Anna was out for lunch. Anna\u2019s father was very ill at the time and was delighted, he let the cat out of the bag when Anna came back and we went back to our house where the ring was hidden and I got down on one knee and proposed in the living room. Anna\u2019s dad unfortunately passed away a few days later.<\/p>\n

THE VISION | We wanted to create a bespoke, rustic vintage wedding with as much homemade\/DIY input as our limited talents could get us.<\/p>\n

THE PLANNING PROCESS | We originally wanted to get married in July 2015 but the venue did not have the dates we wanted so we pushed back another year. This meant we had a fair bit of time to plan. The big stuff like venue, hotel, cars and flowers etc was booked early on, the DIY things like our table logs and jars came very much last minute with us having a craft BBQ as an excuse to get as much help as possible.<\/p>\n

BUDGET | Roughly \u00a325,000.<\/p>\n

THE VENUE | Meols Hall was only the second venue we viewed and we totally fell in love with it, there were tears on more than occasion and it just felt special. We loved the rustic feel and the family approach that Pam and the team took, nothing was too much trouble. We knew that the courtyard would be stunning on a nice day and luckily we got the weather. The jazz band in the courtyard was a perfect accompaniment to a beautiful venue and wonderful day.<\/p>\n

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | Dress – Claire Pettibone , shoes – John Lewis, birdcage veil – Silver Sixpence In Her Shoe.<\/p>\n

FINDING THE DRESS | Anna knew the style of dress that she wanted from an early age, she looked in local bridal boutiques, however the perfect dress was not to be found. She looked further afield and found \u2018the one\u2019 in the White Closet in Didsbury.<\/p>\n

GROOM\u2019S ATTIRE | Noose & Monkey suit, Reiss shirt and Loake shoes.<\/p>\n

THE READINGS & MUSIC | The readings were classic Catholic readings as we got married in church, read by family and friends. We had Pachelbal for the entrance music, Debussy\u2019s Claire de Lune while we were signing the register and Elizabethan Serenade as we exited which Anna had danced to when she was a young girl in ballet class.<\/p>\n

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | Kate, Anna\u2019s sister was the maid of honour and her friends Julia, Claire and cousin Laura made up the bridesmaids, they wore handmade blush dresses made by a family friend.<\/p>\n

THE FLOWERS | Gypsophila, white veronica, blush roses and wild foliage were used in the bouquets, pinholes, corsages and on the table centre pieces. The arrangements were created by Bocboc St.Helens.<\/p>\n

THE CAKE | A three tiered creation with rose petal design by Sugar Perfection.<\/p>\n

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Our photographer Lisa Howard was amazing, we wanted someone local to us and after meeting Lisa we never considered anyone else, We had looked at her blog and gallery online and felt she was perfect for what we wanted for our wedding to look and feel like. We feel her style of photography perfectly suited our theme and vision. She made us totally at ease throughout the day and we couldn\u2019t be more happy with the collection of memories she has given us to cherish forever<\/p>\n

THE DETAILS & D\u00c9COR | We used a plant theatre with pots and moss and lolly-sticks with guest names hand-written for the table plan. Our friend Rachael created all the stationery from the save the dates to the place names. In a twist on traditional guest books we set up an Instax camera with a washing line for guests to peg their instant photos on along with a message to the bride and groom. The groom\u2019s little sister acted as second photographer going round the guests asking if they would like their picture taken saying \u2018you don\u2019t have to pay it\u2019s all free you know.\u2019 The craft BBQ proved very fruitful and we collected coffee jars from our workplaces for 2 years for the centrepieces to be filled with flowers, these were sprayed with gold and tied with string. Vintage photo frames were used to denote table numbers and these along with the jars of flowers rested on logs cut from local trees. A larger log was sprayed gold and acted as a makeshift cake stand. Church candles were placed on each interior windowsill on smaller logs and lanterns were placed outside. The DJ who is an old friend of the groom spun vinyl until the early hours with the first dance being dream lover by Bobby Darin.<\/p>\n

THE HONEYMOON | A fortnight in Mallorca right after the wedding, very relaxing!<\/p>\n

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | Groom – Seeing the bride in her dress walking down the aisle for the first time. Bride – the speeches were very emotional and memorable. The jazz band playing when the saints go marching in while the groom swung the bouquet round morrissey-esque.<\/p>\n

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Don\u2019t leave everything until the last minute, we had two years to plan and were still manic in the last few weeks. Relax and enjoy the day, it will be over before you know it!<\/p>\n
