Amp Up Your Skin Care<\/h2>\n
One of the downsides of getting married in the winter months is that your skin may look duller and feel much dryer than it does in the summer.<\/p>\n
Combat this by exfoliating your face once a week or once a fortnight in the run-up to your wedding. My personal favourite is the Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant<\/i>, but the Sanctuary Spa Radiance Exfoliator<\/i> is a brilliant budget option. Follow up straight away with a rich cream such as Dr Hauschka Rose Day Cream<\/i> or a nourishing oil such as Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil<\/i>, which contains grape oil, jojoba oil and rose oil.<\/p>\n
If you find that the area around your eyes is particularly dry, an eye cream such as Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue<\/i> will be your best friend in the winter months.<\/p>\nRe-Think Your Base<\/h2>\n
Full-coverage, thick foundation can look rather obvious in cold daylight, so I recommend using a lighter weight base in the winter months such as Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation<\/i>, which comes in 12 shades.<\/p>\n
Or you could simply mix your usual favourite base with a dollop of rich moisturizer or a few drops of facial oil, or just sheer everything out using a damp beauty sponge.<\/p>\n
Aim For A Subtle Winter Glow<\/h2>\n
I\u2019d avoid sparkly or iridescent powder highlighters as they can look rather frosty and fake in cold winter daylight, so instead try a pearlescent face illuminator either underneath or on top of your foundation.<\/p>\n

Keep Your Face Colours Neutral<\/h2>\n
I would suggest using more neutral colours on the face for winter weddings, as anything too warm and bronzey might look a bit too orange in cold light.<\/p>\n
If you love a cream blusher, try Stila Convertible Colour<\/i> in \u2018Lillium\u2019, a neutral pink, or if you prefer powder blusher, try Hourglass Ambient Blusher<\/i> in \u2018Mood Exposure\u2019, a subtle plum-nude. Likewise, apply your bronzer with a light hand, and make sure that it\u2019s fairly neutral, with no orange undertones. On the eyes, a shimmering taupe always looks pretty in cold light, and will complement the whole look.<\/p>\nHave Some Fun With Your Wedding Make-Up!<\/h2>\n
As you\u2019ll then be heading indoors when it gets dark early, a shimmery or even glittery eye shadow will look beautiful under candle light \u2013 try the gorgeous Hourglass Scattered Light<\/i> cream eye shadows, or the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows<\/i> \u2013 just sweep across your lids for maximum glam for minimum effort, then add some black eye-liner along your lash line to add some definition.<\/p>\n
You can also have more fun with your lip colour at winter weddings \u2013 a festive scarlet, a deep wine or even a rich berry shade will add a welcome splash of colour to your look, and always complements a white dress beautifully. Try Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in \u2018Red Carpet Red\u2019 or the gorgeous Lisa Eldridge lipstick in \u2018Velvet Ribbon\u2019.<\/p>\n
