I spent my early years travelling around Europe as a professional dancer. I was the only one with a camera and was always snapping away. After my dancing career ended, I bought a recording studio and spent a few years working as a songwriter. Again, I always had my camera with me, and it wasn\u2019t long before I began photographing the local bands that came to record at my studio. My partner, who worked in the wedding industry, suggested I try my hand at wedding photography, and it seemed like a natural progression. I still write the odd song, but I much prefer making music with my camera.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-29390\" src=\"https:\/\/wedissimo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/7365-979-2014-06-158129991.jpg\" alt=\"7365-979-2014-06-15812999\"><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>What do you particularly like about photographing weddings?<br><\/strong>What\u2019s not to like about weddings? I won\u2019t give you a bunch of sentimental clich\u00e9s about capturing loving, cherished moments. It\u2019s a massive party, and I\u2019m paid to be there. It doesn\u2019t get much better than that.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>How would you describe your style and approach?<\/strong><br>I don\u2019t really have a particular style or approach, as each client requires me to be a slightly different type of photographer. There\u2019s no point being Timmy Mallett if your client is a bit uptight and camera-shy. Sometimes, a more subtle approach is needed. I like to blend into the guests like a ninja\u2014the less seen of me, the better.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-29391\" src=\"https:\/\/wedissimo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/rainbow1.jpg\" alt=\"rainbow1\"><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>What advice would you give to couples looking for a wedding photographer?<\/strong><br>Choosing a photographer is like choosing a venue\u2014you know right away when it\u2019s the right fit. If the photos blow you away, go for it. The modern bride will always communicate her needs clearly, so the days of the bossy, shouty photographer are over.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-29387\" src=\"https:\/\/wedissimo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/7365-979-2013-08-181459521.jpg\" alt=\"7365-979-2013-08-18145952\"><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>What tips would you share with couples to help their day go more smoothly?<\/strong><br>I always formulate a plan with my clients, which usually involves a venue visit. Plan for both good and bad weather\u2014always have wellies and umbrellas on hand. Most importantly, enjoy yourself with abandon.
