{w} Hi Laura, could you firstly tell {www} readers a little bit about you?<\/h1>\n

Hi I\u2019m Laura from Purple and Pearls. I live in Birmingham in the Jewellery Quarter, it’s a bit of a melting pot of old and new creative industries and it can be quite inspiring. I love designing and creating the perfect wedding stationery to suit your big day. I’ve got a selection of designs to choose from and also offer a bespoke service to create the perfect first impression when your guests open their invitation.<\/p>\n

{w} What do you love\/dislike about your job?<\/h1>\n

I\u2019ve yet to come across anything I dislike about my job, clich\u00e9 I know but I am loving every second. I love creating stationery to reflect the theme and personality of a couple’s wedding day. It\u2019s also a wonderful feeling to receive feedback from clients who are delighted with their stationery.<\/p>\n

{w} How did you get into the wedding industry?<\/h1>\n

Purple and Pearls started out as an online diary where I blogged about my wedding journey, coming from a graphic design background I knew I wanted to create my own invitations and stationery for my wedding. I loved creating my own stationery and after being asked to design invitations for other people I decided to combine my love of weddings and design to provide fun, unique and pretty stationery.<\/p>\n

{w} What do you aim to achieve for your clients?<\/h1>\n

Wedding invitations are the first taste of the big day, setting the tone and teasing the theme that you’ve carefully planned. They act as powerful reminders of an occasion you enjoyed with family and friends. I spoke to a friend last week who had kept the invitation and save the date card along with the photos she took on my wedding day. She felt that it added extra flavour to the rich memories of a wonderful day. This is what I love doing for my clients; helping to make wonderful first and long lasting impressions on the guests for your big day.<\/p>\n

{w} What style is your work?<\/h1>\n

I offer fun and beautiful designs focusing on illustrations, colours and typography. I’m inspired by lots of things so as well as elegant and simple designs you will also find more quirky and whimsical pieces.<\/p>\n

{w} Could you tell us some information about your packages\/prices?<\/h1>\n

Single invitations start from \u00a31.35 and a full wedding set which includes an invitation, rsvp card and a wedding information sheet start from \u00a32.80.<\/p>\n

{w} Do you have any tips for couples in selecting wedding suppliers?<\/h1>\n

Speaking from experience, I found if I really got to know my supplier and felt comfortable with them then I was a lot happier. I think Twitter and Facebook are extremely important and such a great way to really get to know who will be designing your stationery, taking your photos or making your jewellery.<\/p>\n
