The Hummingbird Card Company<\/a> are a stationery studio who create the prettiest laser cut paper for events, weddings and occasions. I just love their whimsical designs and bespoke options.<\/p>\n

Lets take a closer look at their gorgeous work…<\/p>\n

Hi, could you firstly tell WWW readers a little bit about you?<\/h1>\n

We\u2019re The Hummingbird Card Company<\/a> and we\u2019re mad about laser cutting and pretty passionate about stationery in general! We\u2019re a small studio of designers and creative folk who love making beautiful things, especially for weddings. We also create for other events too.<\/p>\n

What do you love\/dislike about your job?<\/h1>\n

We love coming up with new ideas for designs but the best thing is seeing our little lovelies packed beautifully, nestled in tissue paper in their delivery box ready to be sent to the bride and groom, who are eagerly anticipating their delivery. Then of course we love it in the studio to hear the feedback when a couple are so delighted and well and truly happy with the stationery they\u2019ve chosen. It\u2019s just the best!<\/p>\n

What we don\u2019t like is when a bride & groom come to us too late to place an order; we hate the disappointment if we just can\u2019t make it in time. One piece of advice we\u2019d always offer to a couple planning a wedding is give your suppliers as much time as you can, most of your wedding items are made especially for you, it\u2019s not off the shelf so we need time to lovingly make it!<\/p>\n

How did you get into Design and into the wedding industry?<\/h1>\n

Having been a lingerie designer Sally-Ann loved beautiful things, be it intricate lace and pretty embroideries, all things vintage or whimsy. When on a trip in Tokyo she saw paper cutting for the first time and an instant attraction began, she fell in love with the delicate art. Her head began buzzing with ideas and she felt it would be perfect for wedding stationery and so The Hummingbird Card Company<\/a> was born!<\/p>\n

What do you aim to achieve for your clients?<\/h1>\n

We want this part of their wedding planning to be enjoyable and as easy and stress free as possible. We want them to fall in love with a design that just fits them and their day perfectly.<\/p>\n

We keep up to date with trends and colours and cherry pick those which work with our handwriting, be it whimsical, vintage, fairy tale, luxe lace or (our latest love!) Gatsby Glamour.<\/p>\n

What style is your work?<\/h1>\n

Laser cutting is our speciality; it\u2019s such an amazing process. It\u2019s incredible to watch a design appear from a flame and a blank piece of card. Its delicacy makes it perfect for weddings, it\u2019s so stunning and no one ever wants to throw a laser cut invitation away. They are the perfect keepsake!<\/p>\n

Could you tell us some information about your packages\/prices?<\/h1>\n

We aim to offer stationery for all budgets from printed pretty postcards to intricate laser cut invitations, there\u2019s something for everyone.We also have a bespoke service (for those who want something truly personal) where we create a unique, one off design.<\/p>\n

Do you have any tips for couples in selecting their wedding suppliers?<\/h1>\n

Go with your gut instinct; if you find something you love just go for it. You never want to be disappointed with second best.<\/p>\n
