I am a Humanist Celebrant so I conduct non-religious, Humanist ceremonies that are values-led for couples who want a personal and intentional wedding ceremony that centres them at its heart. I pride myself on being welcoming and inclusive to everyone and whilst my ceremonies don't include prayers or acts of worship, they can include elements that reflect one or both of the couple's culture or heritage, making them a particularly good option for couple of mixed culture/ heritage or those couples with differing beliefs and backgrounds.
I feel immensely privileged to be able to play a part in helping couples create a wedding ceremony that is meaningful and memorable to them. I thoroughly enjoy the process of creating something special and significant for a particular couple and the fact that each ceremony is different and unique just like the couple and their love. I really enjoy the variety of people I get to meet, work with and, most importantly get to know. I feel so honoured to be trusted with a couple's treasured stories and their deepest feelings and I don’t take this for granted at all. I treat every couple and every script with the utmost care and respect and I pride myself on giving every ceremony my very best. I never forget that, for each of my couples, this is one of the most important occasions in their entire lives.
In Yorkshire I would love to work at the Tithe Barn in Bolton Abbey, Alexander weddings tipi style venue and Grantley Hall would be amazing! In the Lakes, I would love to visit Lodore Falls, Langdale Chase and Armathwaite Hall.
I work at venues across Yorkshire and the Lake District National Park. I love the variety of venues from stately homes like Swinton Park, Howsham Hall and Hazlewood Castle to outdoor venues like Skipbridge Farm, Jervaulx Abbey and This Green Moon to rustic barns like The Normans, White Sykes Fields and Wharfedale Grange. If you are looking for something a bit more alternative in Leeds then definitely look up Left Bank, The Faversham and the Northern Monk Chapter Hall. In the Lake District, I love Townhead Estate and Askham Hall. I also offer ceremonies in private homes, gardens and farms as well as outside in nature on beaches, in woodland or parks.
