Super chatty, through and through! If you're picturing the quiet photographer lurking in the corner trying not to be noticed — that's not me, sorry. I'll be right in the mix with you and your guests, having a laugh, making sure everyone's relaxed (because relaxed people photograph so much better than stiff, posed people).

I was immersed in the world of wedding photography from the very beginning. My father owned his own wedding media production company, and that early exposure lit a lifelong passion for capturing love stories. I went on to study Media Production at university, which let me dive headfirst into the creative media world — shooting films and photographs for clients across the country, from fashion photography studios to a food and drink magazine to some of the biggest names in the music industry. Early in my career, I worked freelance as a main photographer in the Asian wedding market, shooting on behalf of other wedding companies. That market is all about making things look dramatic and larger than life, and it's given me a perspective I bring into every wedding I shoot now — one you won't find anywhere else. I'd describe my style as a fusion of fast-paced documentary and editorial fashion portrait photography. I'm dedicated to telling a beautiful photographic story while keeping the atmosphere relaxed, informal and friendly. My philosophy is simple: traditional wedding photographs often miss the real emotion of the moment. I'm not just trying to freeze the scene — I want to capture what people actually felt. Put simply, I want your wedding day filled with joy and laughter. I want you embracing the people you love and making memories that last. A wedding is a celebration of the fact that your happily ever after is just getting started! I wholeheartedly believe rigid, structured perfection isn't what weddings are about — and it's definitely not what marriage is about either. Fun, carefree and truthful images are what we live for. When it comes to artistic influences, I'm all about larger-than-life, dramatic images that'll take your breath away for years to come. I draw from every corner of photography I've worked in — boxing and sports events, editorial fashion, food and drink, nightlife, studio work — and no matter the situation, I've got a style that can do it justice. That variety means I'm never boxed into one look. I'll bring the drama of a fashion shoot, the energy of a live event, and the storytelling of documentary work, and blend them into something that's entirely yours.

All the planning that goes into a wedding can feel both exciting and daunting once the big day actually arrives. My advice? Live in the moment and let yourself drink in every part of the day. Remember you've hired experienced vendors who are dedicated to making it perfect — trust them to guide you through the formalities so you can focus on what actually matters: celebrating your love. Schedule in proper time for your couple shoot. It's not just about stunning photographs — it's a chance to steal some time with each other away from the crowd. I'd always suggest setting aside at least 45 minutes for those images that'll last a lifetime. Talk through your vision and expectations with your photographer and other vendors beforehand. Clear communication means everyone's on the same page, which makes it so much easier to create those out-of-this-world images you're after. And finally, the dance floor is where it all comes alive. Let go, dance badly, get involved, make a show of yourself with the people you love. Those are the moments I live for capturing, and the ones you'll be glad someone caught on camera.

The most important thing to me is fun. I always put my couples' happiness and enjoyment above everything else. A photographer can capture the most technically perfect images in the world, but if they've caused stress along the way, that's what gets remembered — not the photos. It's also about being unapologetically myself. I stopped trying to be like every other photographer a long time ago, and I think that matters more than people realise — because when I show up as genuinely me, it gives everyone else permission to do the same. Guests relax. Couples stop performing. And that's when I get the real stuff: not just the polished, curated version of the day, but the good, the bad, the messy, the beautiful ... everything that actually happened. For me, what matters most is you having the best day of your life, with images that are a true and honest reflection of it, not just my vision of how a wedding should look, but the real, authentic story of yours.

I love the moments between moments. Yes we capture the main highlights of the day but what really excites me is to be able to deliver images that our couples had no idea were going on and enable them to not just relive their day but give new context on the feelings and love of those that were around them on this most important day.

I love a good dad joke. Fair warning. If you're after the classic, robotic, 'follow me, stand here, smile' type of wedding photographer — there are a million of those out there, and that's just not me. I want to have fun, and I want you to have fun too. Honestly, I do this job because I get to hand people back the best day of their lives, for them to keep forever and pass down to future generations. I genuinely can't think of a better job than that.

My favourite wedding shoot has to be Venice, back in 2023. We spent three days with the couple shooting around all that dramatic architecture — but it wasn't just about getting great images, it was about creating amazing memories together. By the time the wedding day came round, we'd become genuinely close, and it felt less like a job and more like catching up with old friends. That's exactly why the images turned out so fun and effortless. A couple of other favourites: a bride who made her own wedding dress, and a groom whose wedding car was a tank. You can't make this stuff up!

Sometimes having a wedding photographer can feel a bit like going to the dentist, or having one of those awkward work photos taken. I want to be the opposite of that. My aim is to turn up on your wedding day and take away all that anticipation, so when I arrive it's less 'oh, the photographer's here' and more 'oh hey, Eddy's here,' like we've been mates for years. I'd like to think couples choose me not just because I'm an invisible ninja who captures genuine, unguarded reactions, but because I bring a personality that can entertain and guide the day too. My goal isn't only amazing photos, I want to be a talking point among your guests. I think couples book me because they trust I'll get great shots, but just as much because they know they'll have a genuinely good time with me there, whatever that ends up looking like. I hope that when you look back, you'll say, 'Yes, Eddy was genuinely fun, and having him there made the day even better.
