Super chatty, through and through! If you're picturing the quiet photographer lurking in the corner trying not to be noticed — that's not me, sorry. I'll be right in the mix with you and your guests, having a laugh, making sure everyone's relaxed (because relaxed people photograph so much better than stiff, posed people).

I've been shooting weddings since 2010, and it's been around me since I was a kid. My dad ran his own wedding media company, then I studied media production and spent years shooting fashion, food and drink and music work all over the country. Early on I was main photographer for other companies in the Asian wedding market, where everything's big, dramatic and larger then life. Take that drama, mix it with how laid back I am, and that’s what you get with me. ... I really do think its a unique blend that you are not going to find anywhere else. Put simply, I want your wedding day filled with joy and laughter. I want you embracing the people you love and making memories that last. I wholeheartedly believe rigid, structured perfection isn't what weddings are about AND it's definitely not what marriage is about either. Fun, carefree and truthful images are what we live for!

Most of mine don't come from weddings at all. Boxing taught me to read a moment a second before it happens. Fashion and studio work is where I learned light, and how to make someone look properly good without it feeling posed. Food and drink shoots are all about the little details, the stuff most people walk straight past. And nightlife is catching people when they've stopped caring who's watching. Put that together and you get a wedding that's shot like it matters, without anyone feeling like their at a photoshoot.

Honestly, try and actually enjoy it. You've hired people who know what they're doing, so let us worry about the timings and you just be there. Give yourselves at least 45 minutes for couple photos. Its not just about the pics, it's the only bit of the day you get each other to yourselves. Have a proper chat with us beforehand so we know what you're after. And get on the dance floor. Dance badly, make a show of yourselves. Those are the ones you'll be glad someone caught.

Fun. Simple as that. Your happiness on the day comes before everything else. A photographer can get the most technically perfect shots in the world, but if they stressed you out getting them, thats what you'll remember. Not the photos. I stopped trying to be like every other photographer a long time ago. I'm unapologetically authentic, and when I show up as me, everyone else relaxes and does the same. That's when you get the good, the messy, the bits nobody planned. Not my idea of a wedding, the real story of yours.

The bits nobody planned. We'll get all the big moments, but what I really love is the stuff that just happens. Chloe and Josh were heading off for their couple photos when one of the groomsmen jogged over with a massive grin and a pack of Pokemon cards. I had no idea they were into it. Next thing, they're sat side by side in their wedding outfits, ripping packs open like it's a Saturday morning, totally forgetting I was even there. Jessica's mad about animals, so Nicola surprised her with a pony. Not just stood in a field either, it was handing out the confetti. Everyone was so taken with it that half the family photos ended up with the pony in them too. And at Rebecca and Ryan's, it was quieter. His brother-in-law helping him with his sleeves, and the cufflinks that used to be his dads. None of that was on a timeline. You cant plan it. You just need someone there, ready, when your version of it happens.

Fair warning, I love a terrible dad joke. If you want someone quietly going "stand here, smile" all day, I'm probably not your guy. But if you want someone who'll have a laugh with your mates, get stuck in and still make sure nothing gets missed, we'll get on great. Honestly, I do this because I get to hand people back the best day of their lives, something they'll keep and show their kids one day. I cant think of a better job than that.

Venice, back in 2023. We spent three days with the couple wandering round all that crazy architecture, getting lost down side streets and stopping for way too many spritzes. By the wedding day it didn't feel like a job anymore, it felt like hanging out with old mates. And you can see it in the photos, they're so relaxed. Honourable mentions go to the bride who made her own wedding dress, and the groom who turned up in a tank. Yes, an actual tank. You couldn't make it up.

Sometimes having a wedding photographer can feel a bit like going to the dentist, or having one of those awkward work photos taken. I just aim to be the furthest as I can from that. My aim is to turn up on your wedding day and take away all that anticipation, so when I arrive it's less 'oh, the photographer's here' and more 'oh hey, Eddy's here,' like we've been mates for years. I'd like to think couples choose me not just because I'm an invisible ninja who captures genuine, unguarded reactions, but because I bring a personality that can entertain and guide the day too. My goal isn't only amazing photos, I want to be a talking point among your guests. I think couples book me because they trust I'll get great shots, but just as much because they know they'll have a genuinely good time with me there, whatever that ends up looking like. I hope that when you look back, you'll say, 'Yes, Eddy was genuinely fun, and having him there made the day even better.
