I will always be working hard to capture authentic natural photos and I will always aim to be as unobtrusive as possible. I like to keep things natural, so you won't find me jumping in and staging moments, but to capture those lovely unscripted moments it's also important that I'm not just a fly on the wall. I also love to interact with you and your guests when it's the right time, but part of the skill is also knowing when to give people space.

I describe approach is warm, relaxed and unobtrusive, ensuring your moments remain natural, authentic, and unscripted. If you are a little photo-shy, I specialise in making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. My style is relaxed documentary photography and focussed on people and moments, complemented by the family photos that matter to you, and special signature couple portraits.
I was lucky enough to train with some fantastic wedding photographers who gave me a great grounding in different styles of wedding photography. I describe my own work as warm, natural, and timeless. My portrait work includes a nod to classic vintage photography styles and when I am not photographing weddings I love to take vintage portraits in the style of photographers like George Hurrell who was the master of Hollywood portraits in the 1930s and 40s.
It always pays to plan ahead together! One of the best things you can do is to keep in contact and ask me any questions you have as you make your plans. Thinking ahead about timings and the locations for your photos will really pay off. It really helps save time on the day and make sure that we are as organised as possible. On the day, the biggest pieces of advice I can give are to be yourselves, and make the most of the day! It goes quickly, so make sure you have time for the two of you. You could also consider an engagement shoot. It helps us to get to know each other in advance of your wedding day and helps you get used to being in front of the camera - especially if you have not been photographed professionally before!
I have been fortunate enough to work at some memorable locations in Oxford already including Christ Church College and the Bodleian Library. I would love to add The Ashmolean Museum and Rhodes House to the list. Further afield I got married myself at the wonderful Burgh Island Hotel in Devon which is a place very close to my heart.
I really love to capture authentic, natural moments
I always like to talk to my couples in advance before booking so we can get to know each other and we know what to expect on the day.
It's impossible to pick a single favourite out of many wonderful occasions. I have been lucky enough to capture many special days at stunning venues, and I love some of the wonderful locations and backdrops that my home city of Oxford has to offer. Ultimately though, Weddings are about the people and shared love and joy my favourite weddings are always those where this connection shines through.
