Meet Patrick
I’m Paddy, a professional wedding photographer based near Tunbridge Wells in Kent, photographing weddings across Kent, Sussex, East Sussex and the surrounding areas.
I’ve been working professionally as a photographer for over 20 years, and wedding photography has always been about more than simply taking a series of formal photographs. I want to capture what your wedding actually felt like — the people, the atmosphere, the little moments and the things that happen naturally throughout the day.
My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive. I’ll be there to guide you when you need it, particularly for family photographs and portraits, but I don’t want photography to take over your wedding. A lot of the day is spent simply watching what is happening around me and anticipating those moments before they happen.
The photography sits somewhere between traditional wedding photography and a purely documentary approach. I like natural, candid photographs, but I also think there’s a place for well-considered portraits and group photographs. The aim is for everything to feel natural rather than overly staged, while still making sure you have the photographs you’ll want to look back on.
I photograph the whole story of the day, from getting ready and the ceremony through to the speeches, celebrations and dancing. I’m equally interested in the big moments and the quieter ones — a reaction during the ceremony, friends catching up, children running around, a quick glance between a couple or something funny happening in the background.
I’m based in the Tunbridge Wells area and regularly work throughout Kent and Sussex, as well as further afield. I photograph a wide range of weddings, from smaller and more relaxed celebrations to larger weddings with a full day of events.
My packages are straightforward and designed to offer flexibility. I also aim to keep the experience simple and personal, from our first conversation through to receiving your finished gallery.
