Meet Elliot
I'm Elliot, a singer, pianist and guitarist based in Manchester, and I play smooth soul and jazz for weddings across the North West.
Think warm, unhurried music that fills a room without taking it over. Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Nat King Cole, a bit of Motown, and soulful, stripped-back versions of songs you'd actually recognise from the last twenty years. It's the sort of thing people talk over happily during drinks and then quietly stop talking over when the right song comes on.
I play solo, which keeps things simple. Piano and vocals for a ceremony or wedding breakfast, guitar and vocals for something looser in the afternoon or evening. One person, one setup, no cables running across your venue and no band taking up half the room.
I'll learn a song for your ceremony or first dance and arrange it properly, at no extra cost. If you're not sure what you want yet, I'm very happy to make suggestions. Most couples know the feeling they're after long before they know the songs.
The practical side matters too, so: I arrive early, set up quickly and quietly, bring my own sound system, and I'm used to making all sorts of spaces sound good, from stone-floored barns to marquees to hotel function rooms. I dress for the occasion, keep an eye on your running order, and I won't need chasing or managing on the day. You'll have enough to think about.
A standard booking is two 45-minute sets, though I can split it into three shorter ones if that fits your timings better.
