I set up discretely and as soon as possible on the day. We have thorough discussions about your I Dos and Don'ts leading up to your special day. We can talk about your favourite gigs, who you have been to see, you can send me playlists you're vibing to, or provide any direction to make this easier for you. Chances are, I already have a mix of something similar I can send to you to get you excited.
Songs you love, taking you back to your nostalgic college periods, or catering for your elderly relatives, we agree how to proceed and I will create the exact vibe you require. If you are a group of garage girls that love Shola Ama, or you want Darude Sandstorm and Insomnia. From Nirvana to Patrice Rushden, Artful Dodger into AC DC and Original Nuttah into Bob Marley, believe me I can do it all. I am a laid back guy, through years of wonderful experience.
The only things I need ahead of time, is if there are any access issues, depending on the size of your venue, I will need to transport different equipment, I would like to still fit into your chosen aesthetic by not starting the day as a sweaty mess, knowing ahead of time access points to load/unload is incredibly helpful. If there is a sound limiter and what it is set to also factors into what equipment I need to bring, a bigger space needs more light and sound to cover the room in equal measures.
If there is a schedule for the day you would like me to stick to, I plan periods of music around these. IE 90s R&B during dinner up to speeches and then Club Classics until its time to belt out some ballads.
For example, you don't necessarily want all of your favourite tunes stopped by the cutting of the cake.
How many speeches etc. Provide me with all of the info you think is relevant so on the day you do not need to worry about what I am doing, just enjoying it.
Dress code.
Food on the day is not essential, neither is providing me with drinks - I usually bring a 1.5l of water which means I can get through atleast 10 hours of work without skipping a beat.
