My name is Amy – I’m a working mum of three girls aged 11 and twins at 6. I own Crystal Bridal Accessories – the online boutique has been running for 8 years and the Yorkshire showroom for two years. I am a self-confessed shopaholic and adore shoes and jewellery!

What do you love/dislike about your job?

 

I love buying! The bridal industry is full of amazing gowns and stunning accessories and the best part of my job is being surrounded by sparkle at all the trade shows! I also love the challenge of our yearly photoshoots – it’s great fun using all the accessories to create beautiful looks and offering brides amazing ideas. Perhaps the less favourite part of my job is that I always overspend when I am in ‘buying mode’ looking for new collections for my website 🙂

How did you get into the wedding industry?

 

I found out I was expecting twins and decided to go on a career break from my main job as an E-Learning Tutor. I adore jewellery and I saw a gap in the market for bridal shoes online so I decided to combine the two and set up an online boutique as a ‘hobby’. Needless to say, I have never looked back!

What do you aim to achieve for your clients?

 

I aim to provide brides with the most beautiful selection of online accessories that will spoil them for choice! I only choose the best brands and aim for products not available anywhere else so that I know all my clients – whatever their taste or budget – will find something they love in our online store.

What style are your products?

 

Sparkly, elegant and utterly on-trend. All of the products I choose for Crystal Bridal Accessories are selected carefully to provide brides with inspiration and ideas for creating their own look. The theme is crystals and sparkle…always!

Could you give us some information about your pricing?

 

Our products range from budget shoes at thirty-nine pounds all the way up to a pair of luxury crystal heels at three hundred and fifty pounds. All the collections for brides whether it is jewellery or shoes has its own ‘aura’ whether its elegant simplicity, classic styling or full-on celebrity style sparkle – we aim to offer a really wide selection of style of accessories.

Do you have any tips for brides in selecting their accessories?

 

Brides looking for accessories should have an idea about which bridal look they want to create. Research in magazines and online for hairpiece ideas, inspiration and tips on styling different accessories with your chosen dress. Printing or saving pictures of looks that you like is vital so that you can keep this in mind when you are browsing for accessories as there are simply so many different products out there to choose from.
