I am delighted to be handing WWW over to our very own intern Anna this afternoon. She has been compiling a new series especially for us and today we are starting with the veil. Fab ideas below include birdcage veils, shoulder length veils, cap veils, long veils and flower crown veils. Gorgeous…

I spent a lot of time umming and ahhing over whether to wear a veil or not, and it seems to be a question many brides deliberate over.
To help you make your decision, I have out together a gallery of examples, from vintage birdcages, to cathedral length stunners…
Birdcage veils are so versatile. Whilst excellent for a quirky, vintage wedding they also look fab with more simple, traditional dresses too. Add some bling with a headband, or some fun with a big bow.

The Juliet or lace cap veil is just perfect for the 1920s or ‘30s look. Go for lace trimmed, or delicate flower detailing for a beautiful vintage bride. Or, if you are wanting a more relaxed, boho feel for your day, team with a gorgeous beaded headband and mismatched fabrics.

Floor and cathedral length veils are a dramatic option, but don’t have to distract from your dress. And just like the cap veil, quirky brides shouldn’t be put off by this ‘traditional’ veil; by experimenting with accessories and different fabrics, you can find the right one to suit your style.

If you can’t decide between a floral crown and a veil, why not have both?! They can be two separate pieces to go from the church to the party, and look fantastic with whichever style veil you go for.
