There is nothing that I love to see at a wedding more than happy crying, and plenty of it. Lauren and Andrew really delivered on this and melted my heart in the process. There were tears, laughs, surprises and cute details galore on their big day at Roche Harbor Resort, Washington in August 2015.
Lauren’s outfit could have been straight from the pages of a bridal magazine. Her bouquet with pink and peach dahlias, as well as her strapless sweetheart dress with embellished sash were both divine. Andrew was a debonair groom in a sharp grey suit with striped grey tie and a pocket square. However, nothing could top the massive smiles they wore all day.
Andrew surprised his new bride with a bracelet that was made with his Grandmother’s jewels – what a sweet and personal gift. I am in awe of their ‘first-look’ photos and their simply beautiful cake, topped with the words ‘happily ever after’. Also, how cool were the photos with the bridal party on the balconies of the historical Hotel De Haro?!
Thank you, Courtney Bowlden Photography, for your stunning pictures.

FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER | No one expects it to rain when they plan a wedding in August in the Pacific Northwest. But on this day, it did. On and off. The staff at Roche Harbor were unsure if they were going to have to have the ceremony in this tiny little chapel (which wouldn’t fit even half of the guests) or if the rain would stop to have it outside. Luckily, 30 minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start, it stopped raining and everyone worked hard to get things set up outside! The bride and groom stayed calm through the whole thing. One thing I loved about this wedding was that it had a classy hint of Disney to it, yet it wasn’t cheesy at all. Andrew proposed to Lauren in front of the Magic Kingdom Castle, so they found it quite fitting to have a Disney themed wedding. I also loved that they included their family in a lot of the wedding day. Lauren’s brother DJ’ed (and he was really good), and her aunt was the coordinator (who was already really good). At the reception, Lauren and Andrew’s bridal party surprised them with a Spice Girls flash mob dance. It was hilarious! Andrew surprised Lauren with a sapphire bracelet that had his Grandmother’s jewels in it. Her expression was priceless!
