Did you ever see a more spectacular setting? I mean WOW. The cliffside portraits by WWW Supplier Love member Kari Bellamy today are out of this world.
WWW readers Sophia and James were married on the 26th September 2015 in an outdoor ceremony at Polhawn Fort in Cornwall. They envisaged a wedding weekend away for all of their guests with a sweet floral theme running throughout. Think flower table names and a flower pot table plan, plus the flowers were all selected for their meanings, isn’t that just lovely?
Sophia looked just incredible in her Melissa Sweet gown she found in David’s Bridal, which she wore with a long flowing veil. James and the boys were all kitted out in dashing Ralph Lauren suits, with the bridesmaids in nude multi-way dresses. Oh the style folks, just stunning.
Thanks so much to Kari Bellamy for sending over these sensational shots.

THE PROPOSAL | At the Heritance Tea Plantation in Sri Lanka after a day of hiking and tea picking.
THE VISION | We wanted somewhere the whole family could stay, the idea of making a long weekend away really appealed to us so that lead the venue search. I also wanted flowers to be at the centre of everything, particularly the meaning of them. Each table centrepiece was a different flower rather than a number and the table plan was flowerpots. Our florist was amazing and really brought my vision to life.
THE PLANNING PROCESS | I am events planner so I new all the processes and time scales already. We had 4 people contributing to the budget each of our parents and each of us. So we had a very comprehensive spread sheet that allowed us to change who was paying for what and see each other totals to insure the budget did not run away with us, its very easily happens with weddings. People joked at how organised I was but I was completed relaxed in the build up to the wedding and on the day so was able to joy the whole thing.
BUDGET | £35,000
THE VENUE | Polhawn Fort, it was so beautiful and the staff so helpful and friendly it was perfect!
THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | Dress was Melissa Sweet. My shoes were from ASOS and I still wear them! Earrings were borrowed from Mother in law.
FINDING THE DRESS | I went to lots of boutique wedding dress shops but in the end brought my dress form David’s Bridal, it is a bit like Topshop of the wedding dress world but there is a lot if choice and great prices. I had a lovely day on the first outing with my sister (maid of honour) and my mother and James’ mother. Though I did get a terrible nose bleed that was a little precarious around all the white dresses! I was torn between two dresses but in the end it came down to price.
GROOM’S ATTIRE | Ralph Lauren suits for the groom and grooms brother. All other ushers wore their own blue suits and their ties were from Hackett.
THE READINGS & MUSIC | The grooms mother wrote a poem, my mother read the owl and the pussy cat, my favourite poem and the grooms god son read the language of flowers 1875, to go with the theme. We had a guitarist through the ceremony and had true romance ‘you’re so cool’ as I walked down the aisle. As we signed the register we played lovely day by Bill Withers and crazy little thing called love by Queen. As we walked out ‘here comes the sun’ the Beatles.
BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | I had my sisters as a made of honour and a friend form school and friend from uni as well as my little cousin. My cousin ware a little cream dress from H and M. The bridesmaids wore multiway style dress that I got from a boutique in Tunbridge wells.
THE FLOWERS | Sharon Mesher was amazing. My flowers were dictated by their meanings, I used the language of flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh but she made them look coordinated and beautiful.
THE CAKE | Was by Eat ‘n’ Mess a lady based in Sevenoaks. We had 4 lactose and dairy free guests so one tier was lemon glucose and dairy free the others were lemon, chocolate and vanilla.
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Kari Bellamy, first saw her at a wedding fair and noticed her as my maiden name is Bellamy. But loved her work! The proof is the beautiful photos.
THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | We were lucky enough to have the wedding outside so the scenery took care of the decoration. Inside I brought moss chandeliers to hang in the vaulted ceiling and the flowers on the table were the main event. I also got lanterns form Ikea to put down the aisle and white pompoms to hang on the chairs.
THE HONEYMOON | Safari! In South Africa and then a week in Mauritius. It was the most incredible trip.
MEMORABLE MOMENTS | The sun set, we all went out side to see the sun set it was magic. There was a blood moon so a few of us went onto the roof to see the eclipse at 3am. The next day we all woke up and went and swam in the sea on the fort’s private beach. The speeches were lovely and very emotional. The next day we had a brunch on the lawn and the guests popped by before they went home, we all were hitting golf balls off the cliff onto the beach below.
ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Don’t stress about the little things, enjoy the day it goes by in a flash. Before you do anything work out your budget and stick to it as much as possible. Plan early so you can relax and enjoy the build up. You can’t please everyone, as long as you are both happy that’s all that matters, it’s your day. Make sure you have time on the wedding for just the two of you.
