Rustic Chic Greenery Wedding Ideas in Tuscany

What could be more romantic than a storybook wedding day nestled in the green rolling hills of Tuscany? Today we are sharing a lovely photoshoot from a group of Italian creatives that aims to showcase just how picture-perfect a simple, elegant and rustic theme can be in the right location.

The first thing that jumped out at me were the guests’ favours of grey and sand coloured scarves tagged with “to keep you warm” written in calligraphy. What an ingenious idea for a winter celebration! The use of long silk ribbons in both the décor and around the bouquet is eye-catching and a cost-effective way of adding to the sense of stylish sophistication. And how could you not fall in love with that ceremony setup? The magnificent wooden archway enhanced by cascading white florals and greenery and that view – wow.

Brides and grooms, if you’re still searching for your dream outfits, I think you will be inspired by the ideas below. The attire in this shoot is classic and chic, while also being unique. I have a particular soft spot for fun bowties and this green patterned number is no exception.

FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER | Getting married beneath olive trees overlooking a sea of rolling hills is what a true Tuscan wedding is all about. This shoot embraces the natural landscape Tuscany has to offer and embodies the rustic wedding chic favoured by so many brides today.

The shoot took place at Villa Medicea di Liliano, a venue which fully encapsulates the essence of an Italian wedding. Surrounded by a spectacular landscape and majestic views whilst also providing the intimacy and romance that every couple seeks for their wedding, it has an ethereal understated beauty which lends itself to the earthy theme captured in the photos.

The bride is dressed in a simple Anna Fuca creation with a slightly Laura Ingle laidback country look and her free-spirited style is throughout the rest of the details of the shoot. Her makeup by Cherie Spisso is just enough to highlight her beauty, adding to the natural spontaneity of the look.

Matching the bride’s individual style, the groom wears a dandy-esque Otto Marchesi. His green bowtie and other subtle styling details subtly play with the conformity of the traditional groom’s attire and enhances the quirky styling of the couple.

The simple pastoral feel of the photography by Stefano Santucci is generated by the earthy hues of the surroundings and wild floral arrangements by Flowers Living, all the way through to the kitsch stationary by Laura Mazzetti.

This shoot reflects how sweet and personal a simple wedding can be and the untamed rustic wedding chic that Tuscany has to offer!
