When a team of super creative wedding suppliers come together to create unique wedding ideas, the results can be really very magical. I fell hook line and sinker for these colourful comic book inspirational images today.
WWW faves Fleur De Lace and Totally Pinnable were both contributors, as was MinkieMoo Bakery. Then you can totally see why these fun and quirky images are perfect for WWW this fine Sunday. Think gorgeous backdrops, vintage attire and bold florals all round.
Many thanks to Hayley Pettit Photography for sharing these stunning images with us.

Alice, Fleur De Lace;
“Where did the inspiration come from? Vintage comic books (picked up from the local vintage market). As you dip through the pages of the Bangs, Pows and Bops you see love stories, boys sweeping girls off their feet, happily ever after and a whole load of colour.
Colour is key to creating this look. A handful of primary and base colours were the palette that we spread throughout the styling. When creating a relaxed outdoor wedding like this, you don’t need to be perfect, the shades of red don’t need to be perfectly matched with the bridesmaid dress and lipstick. Red is red and your guests won’t see the difference.
Keeping the theme throughout the wedding décor can be tricky, finding a happy medium of themed elements and not going over the top is something to bear in mind. Saying that, seriously themed weddings will keep your guests talking for years to come.
Creating a pinwheel backdrop is really effective and not too difficult. You can learn to make pinwheels from numerous blogs and pages online and attach them to a wall, arch or stand. Ribbons and streamers are eye catching elements to creating this look. At Fleur de Lace Ribbons are one of our key decorating materials, They can be tied onto hooks, doorways, anywhere to add a pop of colour. Paper streamers are a great alternative too, but break very easily so not the most reliable in our glorious British weather!”

“Flowers are a wedding day essential and I love being involved in the whole process from the initial meeting bouncing ideas around , to selecting the flowers and most importantly the big day. Collaborating with Alice for the shoot was fantastic – in essence she is like my dream bride – clear on style and what they want to convey but willing to leave the details in my hands. For the comic inspired shoot I wanted the flowers to be compact and punchy but added a soft touch to each piece to reflect the outdoor setting – a feather in the brides bouquet and grass in the buttonhole also bearing this in mind for the table pieces. I enjoyed adding the superman head to the buttonhole (yes it is from a Pez sweet!) and made steamers from gift cards as well as covering some jars with comic themed wrapping paper.”
