Working Towards Eradicating Poverty with Wedding Competitions

Ela Aksoy, the founder of Bochic Weddings and Events, will be volunteering for 3 months in Sierra Leone, West Africa, to help disadvantaged young people. She is fundraising to support International Citizen Service (ICS) and Y Care International in sending UK volunteers overseas to work on sustainable development projects in some of the world’s poorest communities. Their ultimate aim is to end extreme poverty and the money raised will contribute to projects that support this goal. ICS volunteers work together in small teams over three months to tackle social exclusion and poverty in some of the world’s poorest communities. Ela will be working on a range of projects that help young men and women within local communities. This could include running workshops to help young people develop skills for employment, building schools in rural areas, engaging young people in global and national issues and more.

Ela, of Bochic Weddings and Events, has collaborated with the following suppliers to offer these fantastic prizes! It’s a ‘lucky dip’ wedding competition, whereby brides and grooms can enter by donating £3 to her JustGiving page and quoting the prize they would like.
