Liz and Adam tied the knot at Great Fosters in Surrey on the 25th March 2017. They were blessed with beautiful spring weather and what a joy to marry during cherry blossom season, just out of this world.
Our couple loved the venue as it was and so didn’t add too many fussy details. After a bright and airy ceremony with beautiful white details, the wedding breakfast took place in a cosy wood panelled room, with beautiful tall candelabra centrepieces fit for a banquet. The fairy lights adorning the room make for such a magical atmosphere and the florals are just to die for.
I think wedding dresses with sleeves might just be my favourite and Liz looks simply stunning in her Essense of Australia gown. For the groom, it could only be Hugo Boss. I just love the combination of the blush pink details and the navy blue accents, it works so well don’t you think? The bridesmaids look beautiful in their matching navy dresses going along with this theme.
Thanks ever so much to Hannah McClune for sharing these simply beautiful images with us.

THE PROPOSAL | Idyllic beach in Santorini. Adam asked permission for my hand, so my Mum kept phoning me to see how the holiday was. I never guessed!
THE VISION | Classic, elegant and romantic.
THE PLANNING PROCESS | 18 months! Done by Liz with a lot of help from Pinterest and what I didn’t like at other weddings.
THE VENUE | Great Fosters, Egham. Jose the co-ordinator on the day, was fabulous. I’m a control freak and he was like my right arm so I didn’t have to worry about anything.
THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | Essense of Australia and items found on Etsy.com.
FINDING THE DRESS | I went to a couple of shops with friends to get an idea of what I wanted and then took my Mum and Sister to shops near where they live. I knew I had the right dress when my Mum cried and I didn’t want to take it off.
GROOM’S ATTIRE | Hugo Boss all the way.
THE READINGS & MUSIC | No readings as it wasn’t our style. We had classical music played on the harp. Pachelbel’s Canon in D as I walked down the aisle was beautiful, classic and made me well up even before the ceremony. Wedding Singers during the ‘Breakfast’. They are there during the reception and really start to bond with your guests. So when they start singing, the surprise is out of this world and as a singer myself I and my lovely new husband were blown away. Even better than we expected. We’re going to re-hire them for Adam’s 40th.
BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | My sister Ali, niece Charlotte and bestie Jenny. Chose dresses from The Wedding Shop Colchester that were Navy blue and suited their style and ages elegantly.
THE FLOWERS | Lily’s Flowers. Unstructured with plenty of greenery and texture for a hopefully romantic look
THE CAKE | Rocky road, lemon, fruit cake and vanilla in a classic style and tasted amazing. By Speciality cakes.
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | The amazing Hannah McClune. We don’t like our photo being taken, but she made us feel at ease and got shots that we are proud and thankful to display and will remind us of a perfect day forever.
THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | Kept simple as Great Fosters is such an amazing venue. Fairy lights from Virtual Events and The Best Magic Mirror for the evening to get fun shots. We used a Toastmaster (Jay Tough). He took care of all the details on the day and was someone you could look to if you needed anything.
THE HONEYMOON | 8 days in the Maldives to relax and enjoy each others company followed by 3 days in Dubai to shop :0)
MEMORABLE MOMENTS | Walking down the aisle and seeing the groom beaming. Singing Waiters serenading our guests as a complete surprise. The weather – For the end of March, the sun came out for the first time that year, which meant we could go outside and we were surrounded by beautiful blossoms.
ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | All the planning in the world goes out of the window when you walk down the aisle and see both your friends and family there for you and the breathtaking look on the grooms face. Everything else becomes a blur. Enjoy every second as it goes so fast and the little details just don’t count. Make sure you use the ‘breakfast’ to speak to your guests as you just won’t have the time otherwise. Wear protectors for the heels of your shoes!
