We’re big fans of creativity here at Whimsical Wonderland Weddings and really do love it so when a talented bunch of wedding suppliers come together to create something magical. This wedding ideas shoot was photographed and planned just beautifully by Ella Violet Photography; think festival wedding vibes, boho styling and colourful touches all held at WWW faves and Supplier Love members, Browning Bros in Essex.
One of my favourite elements of the editorial just has to be the blooms, I mean just look at those colourful arrangements and bright ribbons. The dresses are all high-street and I am sure you will agree the brides look so elegant and cool. Be sure to take in all the details and enjoy the stunning images below.
The idea for the shoot first came to me when I met with the Imperial Birds of Prey Academy last year at a wedding fair. After meeting one of their stunning owls, I just knew we could create something really awesome. When looking for more inspiration and current trends, I noticed that the style of other shoots including birds of prey seemed very dark and wintry. So I thought this was a great opportunity to create something with a more colourful and boho festival vibe.
I chose Browning Bros very quickly as the location for the shoot, as it just seemed the perfect fit. I knew I wanted it to take place outside to make the most of the light, and to be in keeping with the natural and relaxed feel of the whole shoot.
The other brilliant suppliers were carefully selected to compliment the theme. Passion Flowers by Emma Spowage alongside Brown Birds Weddings helped to design the ceremony, cake and reception areas that really helped to tie all the ideas together. Luca’s Cakes made a scrumptious selection of cakes, which added to that relaxed non-traditional styling.
As for the styling of our two gorgeous models, I knew it had to be colourful and unique. After much research on the internet (to be honest I had way too much fun looking at wedding dresses for hours!), I decided that some of what our high street stores had to offer was too good to miss. Three of the dresses were from ASOS – I particularly loved the one with the red floral embroidery as I thought this seemed really different and a unique choice for a festival style wedding. The final dress was from Next and had a heavy laced/crocheted design.
Helping to create the final look was Verity from Alter Ego Hair Design, Dayna Leigh makeup and the lovely Eden.B Studio providing their gorgeous accessories, all of their styles fitting together seamlessly.
I really enjoyed creating these final images, we battled against the weather on the day. But with everyone’s creative powers, we managed to produce exactly the look I was after!
