I don’t know about you, but I just adore a country meadow; the buzzing bees, the flash of colour and the beautiful scent. I can’t think of a prettier spot to get married beside and The House Meadow in Kent provided this and more for today’s couple Louise and Jason. The pair chose to get hitched on the 22nd July 2017 in an outdoor ceremony on the lake, which was just so idyllic, before celebrating in the barns.
I think the tropical touch to their day is just super fun, which injected so much style and personality into their wedding. They used palm leaves and proteas in the flower arrangements to make great impact and the deep red hues really worked beautifully. Another important aspect of the wedding was that Louise and Jason really wanted their dog Sunny involved, I really love his participation in the ceremony, so cute!
The relaxed vibes, beautiful attire (hello lace and tweed outfits!), gorgeous decoration and all the love was captured so perfectly by Kerry Ann Duffy. Huge thanks to Kerry for sharing these stunning photographs with us.

Unique and chilled! We wanted a laid back feel with a bit of Bob Marley and our amazing golden retriever ‘Sunny’. It was very important that Sunny could be there, he’s a big part of the family. We wanted colour but in quiet manner, achieved through flowers! Burgers and sweet potato fries with a bit of rum cake for dessert.
Lots of help from the venue organiser – Clare Passmore at The House Meadow, Nicci Gurr and Sophie at Home Gurrown. Lots of Pinterest help and many many discussions with my husband!

Emotional toasts and photos which Kerry Ann captured. The final walk as Miss Shepherd as I was about to become Mrs Taylor. Sunny clambering around after we were married, it was like he was celebrating! I was stung by a wasp, my bouquet was so beautiful that even the insects wanted it! It rained whist we ate our wedding breakfast and it echoed through the barn, very majestic! Getting ready at a cottage with my nearest and dearest close by, many croissants and laughter! My veil fell down as soon as Jason put his arm around me.
Don’t feel pressured into being traditional, let the wedding reflect you!
