I think you’re just going to love WWW readers Lucy and Anthony’s brilliant city restaurant wedding. Their intimate day took place on the 6th April 2018 at 60 Hope Street in Liverpool and it’s perfectly pretty and stylish in pink. Thanks go to Lisa Howard for sharing these incredible images with us today, I particularly love the confetti shot on the steps outside the venue, the petals look like they’re falling from the blossom tree above.
A blossom tree also features behind the sweetheart table, which looks just fab. The pink and white florals continue with Lucy’s beautiful bouquet, the fireplace feature and the delicate flowers in her hair, simply beautiful. I must mention the food too, I love that Lucy and Anthony had a sweet cake and a cheese tower and both look incredible.
Lucy’s dress was the first that she tried on, can you believe it? It’s a gorgeously elegant number by Savannah Miller at Debenhams, love! Anthony looked super dapper too in his outfit, which was all Hugo Boss, just perfect. Enjoy this elegant affair all.
Anthony proposed to Lucy on his birthday, 20th April 2017 following afternoon tea at the Chester Grosvenor Hotel during a weekend break in Chester. He had bought the ring a few months earlier and his mum had been looking after it for him.
Relaxed, small & intimate with our closest family and best friends (40 guests) We wanted great food and one venue that could accommodate both the wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening drinks.

We decided to choose a date around Spring, our favourite time of year and less than 12 months in the future, we were too excited to wait too long and didn’t want to spend too long planning. We chose the venue really quickly as it was one of our favourite restaurants and once the registrar was confirmed our plans formed around the venue and the recommendations or suppliers they normally use (flowers and decorations). On the whole the planning process was chilled and relatively low key, we only really felt like we were planning a wedding a few weeks ahead of our big day! Our top tip is to organise but not finalise until nearer the time, we found we had a clear idea of the finer detail nearer the time.
We wanted to splurge on our honeymoon and not sacrifice our usual treats for our wedding fund so we decided not to spend more than £10k. We managed to come in under budget and spend £8k!

Lucy’s dress: Savannah miller for Debenhams. Alterations made by Brides by Natalie, Liverpool which included making the dress extra special by hand sewing Lucy’s nanas pearls onto the sleeves of the dress.
Shoes: Dune wedding
Hair accessories: Etsy
Garter: made by Lucy’s mum
Jewellery: Necklace & Earrings, David Robinson jewellers Liverpool (a gift from Lucy’s mum), bracelet from Lucy’s dad. Sapphires, diamond and platinum to match Lucy’s engagement ring and wedding band.
A miracle! It was the first dress I tried on (thinking it wouldn’t suit me) and I fell in love. I ordered it online in the sale, I think it was fate!

Fire place was dressed with greenery and roses

Was made by a close family friend and was Vanilla sponge and buttercream, decorated with meringue kisses, vanilla macarons and gold leaf. We also had a mini gluten free version. It was decorated with fresh flowers and we had a rose gold Mrs & Mrs Border topper.

We kept things fairly simple but we did decorate the lounge bar at 60 Hope Street with Mr & Mrs balloons and a fireplace installation by Becka Corner (Beckoration). We also hired two lovely pale pink blossom trees from Dutch Flower Shop, one that we got married under (and then had our sweetheart table set underneath later in the day) and the second went around the front door of 60 Hope Street entrance.
The table was set with wooden rose gold lazer cut place settings and our favour were small bottles of pink champagne for each of our (adult) guests.
The Dutch Caribbean islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao for 2 weeks, we headed to the airport less than 48 hours after the wedding!

Too many to count but we loved having everyone we both loved all in the same room together, no easy task when one of the best men and his family live in Canada and friends had travelled from as far away as LA. Everything went exactly as we had planned and was more than we both could ever have hoped for.

Have exactly what you both want and don’t sweat the small stuff on the day you won’t notice or care!
