We’re going all luxe, decadent and romantic today with this beautiful wedding ideas editorial. I love the burgundy, gold and black colour palette, which just screams style. Just wait until you see the perfectly gorgeous cake trio, the sophisticated styling and opulent stationery too you guys. It’s all just so very dreamy and I haven’t even touched on the stunning outfits donned by our couple here either yet. The flowers were wild, natural and believe it or not, a combination of fresh and faux. Gorgeous!
There were two venues for this shoot, which I think is a brilliant concept seeing as so many of you will be having two venues for your own weddings. The ceremony shots were at Asylum Chapel and the reception images taken at AMP Studios, both of which are located in London. They ooze cool rustic style which is a match made in heaven with the decoration and touches created by the talented team.
All of these photographs were captured by Sarah Porter Photography and I think they are just incredible!
Captured by Sarah Porter Photography, this ‘Modern & Rustic Romance’ inspiration shoot features rich foliage, luxe gold accents and aims to fuse elements of modern style and rustic design for a timeless and elegant wedding day aesthetic.
When developing the concept of ‘modern rustic’, inspiration was drawn from wooden features, organic textures, metallic accents and matte finishes which combined, were the primary features of this this airy and ethereal shoot at the naturally beautiful settings of the Asylum Chapel and AMP Studios located in South London.

Gwenda from Bohotanical added robust fresh and faux florals in a mix of muted and moody hues along with some neutral greenery for a refined and rustic look, and we loved how she used trailing ivy to frame the altar of the Chapel. The selection of high quality faux florals not only allowed us to showcase a selection of blooms that weren’t in season but they’re also eco-friendly and an ideal option for the budget savvy bride.

The modern tablescape, styled by Kelsey of Stone & Co. Events, was achieved by pairing matte black plates with gold chargers and flatware, and was complemented beautifully by the black cotton rag and gold leaf stationery by Scritto. The sage green, hand-dyed muslin linens by Unity Styling added some softness and texture while the wooden trestle table provided a ‘nod’ to traditional rustic design.

The bridal look featured a sleek chiffon and lace gown by Aneberry Bridal and a soft smoky brown eye with effortlessly undone waves by Alison Jenner Hair and Makeup.
