Laura and Henry held their wedding on the 27th October 2018 at the The Yorkshire Wedding Barn. I think you’re really going to fall for their elegant day, which also had a touch of rustic charm. Our pair chose a beautiful blush colour scheme with plenty of rose gold details.
These two had been to lots of destination weddings and liked the set up, so being able to spend the whole weekend with their guests was really important to them. What a blast it looks like they had too!
It also sounds like the day was a lot of fun, helped along by The Peaky Blinders Duo booked through WWW faves Entertainment Nation.

Henry took me to London for the weekend and surprised me with a beautiful room at the Shangri-La Hotel overlooking London with a 180° view. It was stunning and whilst looking at the view, Henry got down on one knee and purposed. We then celebrated by cracking open a bottle of champagne and called all our family and friends to tell them the good news. We then spent the weekend continuing the celebrations, including making our own perfume, which I called Floriental Engagement, and ended with seeing the fantastic Les Miserables production. The weekend was topped off when we celebrated with my family at my auntie’s house.

After going to a few of our friends’ weddings, which were abroad, we liked the idea of everyone being in one place and making a weekend out of the celebrations. We also wanted somewhere with a relaxed and rustic feel, so when we saw The Yorkshire Wedding Barn, it was perfect! The colour scheme we wanted was antique blush pinks, brass/rose golds and eucalyptus blues.

My wedding dress was from Wed2Be. It was called the Harley and it was a stunning sheath dress. It had layers of lace brought together with beautiful appliqué and sparkling beading. I fell in love with it as it was so pretty and fitted like a glove. I wish I could wear it every day! I had a romantic tulle veil with a delicate satin edge finish, fingertip length.
My wedding shoes were from Freya Rose. They were beautiful and so comfy! The design was called ‘Fefe Pearl’ and was hand-embellished with Swarovski crystals and freshwater pearls.
My hair piece was from the Bridal Emporium in Leeds. I loved it!

Hair: Emily Brailsford – hairdresser from Headlines Elite at The Park. I found Emily when I moved back to Sheffield and she was so patient with me as I had lots of ideas in my head and had about five different trials before finally making a decision on the day.
Make-up: Hannah Graham – One of my best friends who has just started her own make-up and hairdressing business. She did all of my bridesmaids’ hair and mine and my mum’s make-up. We were so made up with it! She has true talent.

Henry and his groomsmen wore blue wool blend suits from Moss Bros, ties from Topman, pocket squares from Reiss and shoes from Goodwin Smith.
