If you are thinking of holding a Spring wedding, then these delightful blue and gold wedding ideas are sure to fill you with inspiration today. Set at Longlands at Cartmel in the Lake District, the team behind the shoot had a vision of a vibrant and fun feel to the editorial. It all feels really bright, contemporary and yet classic in style.
I just adore the floral appliqué gown worn by the bride, teamed with a tiara and flawless hair and make up. Just stunning! Then there were the wild and free florals, which included seasonal Spring flowers such as tulips as well as pretty daisies. The tablescape was adorned with silk fabric, candlesticks, tableware and florals styled to perfection. Do also look out for a very dapper suit, pretty watercolour stationery, gold macarons and a divine ombre cake creation. Gorgeous.
Thanks so much to Ailsa Reeve Photography for sharing these wonderful images with us.
A gorgeous venue, a gorgeous couple and a gorgeous theme! I picked this venue as its relatively new, being a stunning period house with a newly converted barn in the picturesque village of Cartmel, Lake District.
The barn is a neutral colour on the inside, having just the cemented walls, so I knew the theme of gold and blue would look amazing in contrast to this. The venue has a walled secret garden, that is the most beautiful serene place to be in, so knew it would be perfect for the shoot.
With spring just around the corner – I wanted to do a styled shoot that was vibrant and fun, using the colours of blue and gold, flowers that were wild and free, with a look of being straight from the fields, a dress that was young & contemporary yet still having the classic & elegant feel and a real couple that utterly adore each other.
Everything was picked based on its colour or style, sourcing gold macarons, blue shoes and a headpiece to die for and the majority of people that worked on this shoot were small independent suppliers, many of them being based in the Lake District or surrounding areas.
