We’re headed to the most spectacular location in Le Marche, the Temple of Valadier, where the temple sits inside a cave lost in the mountains in the Italian region. Goodness me is it just incredible and it made the most perfect setting for this wild, natural and artistic editorial shoot. I have no doubt that these dramatic and atmospheric images by Vanessa Illi will leave you feeling inspired and I have to say the strikingly beautiful film below by Paolo Manzi gave me chills, which is a rare occurrence.
These cave wedding ideas really evoke a feeling of moody romance. The fabulous neutral styling, using natural materials, paired back touches and gorgeous whimsical flowers, will be sure to inspire modern and edgy couples looking for something cutting edge and unique. There is exquisite stationery, a stunning grey gown and cape combo, a statement headdress, flawless hair and make up, not to mention a beautiful tablescape. Do take in all the images and soak up the wonderful film below too folks.

The unique and yet unseen setting for our In Her Element styled shoot is a temple inside a cave lost in the mountains of the Italian region of Le Marche. It is a harsh yet incredible place, really hard to get to but a perfect combination of stunningly precise architecture within the natural element of a wild cave. No one had ever done a shoot here before and we thought this would be the ideal place to give life to a concept of perfect combination of order and wilderness.

We imagined our model as a cave nymph emerging from the mountain in a beautiful grey gown: like a queen of the mountain, she wears an elaborated crown made of iron wire, sticks and flowers.

The precise, man-made temple and the wild and imperfect cave are only apparently in contrast as, when merged, they complete themselves to perfection, so much that our goddess is serene here and perfectly in her element. Our goal was to create beauty there where harsh natural elements and human precision meet and we believe to have achieved just that.

The shooting day was hard because of the cold and also the difficulties experienced in taking all the material and equipment all the way to the temple. Despite this our team worked perfectly together in this unique place that has not been seen in any publication before. We are all incredibly proud of this shoot and we believe that the photos and video speak for themselves.
