I really love the eco-friendly wedding ethos here, with every little detail so thoughtfully considered, with local produce and local suppliers being used throughout. Not to mention reusable items foraged from charity shops plus vegan and cruelty-free products. Do keep your eyes peeled for a gorgeous marble autumn wedding cake, a stunning shutter backdrop and a dramatic tablescape with atmospheric lighting.

Eco-friendly living… Something most of us aspire to. But how do we create a wedding that’s nature-friendly and sustainable without compromising wedding daydreams of style, romance and decadence?
This was the challenge we set ourselves when planning this sustainable, rustic shoot. With the inspiration of an ethical wedding utilising local resources from incredible suppliers, embracing seasonal produce and pre-loved items, the outcome was a beautiful boho-chic shoot.

Symondsbury Estate’s beautifully restored 14th century Tithe Barn fitted the theme amazingly. Set in the rolling hills of Dorset, we were able to really embrace our unique location creating stunning set ups, not only inside the barn but also in the surrounding countryside. The views really complimented our rustic ceremony set up with an arch created from reclaimed shutters… The perfect location to promote an elegant, nature-friendly celebration.
We carefully planned how each aspect of the day could be responsibly sourced, incorporating pre-loved items, local suppliers and seasonal produce. To begin, we collected beautiful vintage tableware and decorations from local markets and charity shops for the wedding breakfast. These were not only great reusable items, but a bargain too! These mismatched pieces from different eras and craftsmen complimented the incredible floristry by West Dorset Wedding Flowers. The seasonal flowers made up of coppers, deep reds and rusty pinks, were all locally grown by The Black Shed Flower Farm and The Dorset Flower Co.

To continue sustainability throughout the day, Bridal Reloved supplied beautiful preloved dresses, ready to be used and loved once more, whilst tackling fast fashion and staying eco-friendly. To add finishing touches to the outfits, FLC Hair & Makeup created a natural and romantic look, using vegan and cruelty free products.

The two gorgeous brides, dressed head to toe in sustainable products, floated through the barn and beautiful countryside whilst being captured by both videographers G & T Films and photographer Sadie Osborne. The outcome was creative and atmospheric shots, which really encapsulated the essence of the day.

The style of the day was supported immensely by being able to reuse the floristry across our set up. The beautiful garland was draped carefully over the table in the barn and across the rustic ceremony archway, perfectly framing Colmers Hill in the background of the field of long grass and curious sheep.

The shoot was dreamy, boho-chic and romantic… This reaffirmed to us that sustainability and wedding celebrations can not only co-exist but can actually compliment each other perfectly.
