Hannah and Matt’s Chypraze Wedding Barn wedding by the sea in Cornwall was just a dream! You are in for a real treat today folks with these boho vibes. They were married on the 8th June 2019 in the stunning barns against a statement macramé hanging, creating a super cool style. They then celebrated in the barn, which was decked out with greenery runners, donuts and multicoloured ribbons on the chairs. There were also rainbow ribbons hanging from the large bouquet of artificial flowers in bright bold hues. Wow.
Their outfits were really very stylish. Hannah chose a mermaid lace gown, which she teamed with a crystal crown and personalised leather jacket. Meanwhile Matt opted for a cream blazer, navy trousers and an open collar, the perfect smart casual look. They looked just amazing, especially in their romantic portraits on the beach.
Clara Cooper Photography captured their day with photos and film and I am so thankful to be sharing these amazing photographs with you. Oh my.

Our anniversary (the date we got together) Matt planned the day and kept it a surprise where we were going. All I knew was that we were going walking. We love hiking! We got to Pystyll Rhaedr waterfall and as we were taking videos (we video diary our trips etc) Matt set the camera stand up and met me back at the front of the waterfall. Little did I know he was going to get down on one knee and propose! I cried (a lot). It was PERFECT!! And all on video which is a bonus!!

Simple boho intimate wedding with the ocean nearby!

I planned it all myself. Pretty much from making Pinterest boards into reality. I found my photographer on instagram which was a huge help because I knew her vibe and style would capture the vision I was going for. Especially as we had the same love of the sea and Cornwall.

No budget but it wasn’t a lot at all. As long as all the ideas in my head came to life I was happy.

Chypraze Wedding Barn, Cornwall. The most perfect wedding venue. The loveliest people there too! A small little barn on a cliff with a beach at the bottom. Clear blue sea. What a dream. We had it all boho and colourful with a BBQ for our wedding breakfast. Cornish pasties as our late food. Being in Cornwall it seemed right!

Our vows were short and sweet. We read the same promise to each other. It was a sentimental thing to us.
Being the biggest Beyonce fan I really wanted Beyonce in the wedding music somehow. ‘You Are My Rock’ I walked down the aisle to. Also had the song title painted onto my wedding leather jacket.
Our just married song as we walked out together was Home by Ashlee & Evan. a song about a family being one. Being a blended family it was a connection of all of us.
Our first dance song was I Do by Ashlee & Evan. The lyrics in the song are beautiful. Perfect for us.

We had all artificial flowers which I went to Inspirations in Bromborough for. All we wanted was sunflowers and colour. Yellows, coral, blue and lots of greenery. I picked everything myself and sent the lady helping us pictures of how big I wanted the bouquet. Pretty big. She did that amazingly. Also I had colourful ribbons to hang down. Before the day I put Matt’s Nan’s Rosary beads in with the ribbons because sadly she’s no longer here but he wanted her to be part of our day someway. Our table flowers coordinated with my bouquet blue, coral and sunflowers with lots of leaves. They were essentially like table runners.

My wedding dress was changed a few months before the wedding. From the start I wanted simple high street floaty nothing fancy. But the *being the only girl with 3 big brothers* niggling thoughts kept creeping in so I went to try on actual wedding dresses because being the only girl my dad will walk down the aisle it needed to be special for him too. I picked a dreamy white lacy mermaid dress. It was perfect and on the beach it looked even more perfect. I’m glad I changed my mind.
Crystal hair crown I sourced from Etsy from a shop owner The Jewel Cavern (@thejewelcavern). It was my something blue.
I had a painted leather jacket for our day too. Done by the amazing Natasha (@mama_inc_studio) with the title of the song I walked down the aisle to. Also my vibrant flowers painted on. It was amazing!
I was a barefoot bride but I got some taupe grey Dr Martens for walking up and down the cliff to the beach. Great idea!
My jewellery was simple. My mum and dad bought me an infinity necklace with our 4 kids names on and I had a Mulberry gold bangle. I love my tattoos so didn’t want to disguise them. Tattooed bride!
Matt’s blazer, trousers and shirt were Hammond & Co. Shoes from Church’s. My mum and dad bought Matt a pocket watch for the day with our initials engraved on the front, our kids initials engraved on the back.

I did all my own hair and make up. Which I really enjoyed doing. I also braided our eldest daughters hair into a halo braid and our youngest daughter has natural super curly hair so we wanted hers down. My hair got rained on and ruined while on the beach. Quick bobble a braiding trick and I was good to go. I didn’t care at all. I was in a total love bubble my hair was nothing to worry about on our day.

Matt’s groomsmen were just our two sons. Lincoln and Dexter .
Both of their outfits were from H&M. His best man’s suit and father of the bride’s suit were both M&S.

My bridesmaids were our two daughters. Nola and Alabama.
Both girls’ dresses were Monsoon. Cream crochet lace and tulle worn with gold sandals.

Lucy! (@claracooperphoto) amazing photographer could not speak more highly of her. She was there not just as my photographer but in my opinion a huge helping hand for my ideas she got my vision my dream.

Lucy again! (@claracooperphoto) we have watched our video a million times and cant get enough of it. It truly made our wedding more special being able to watch it back over and over. And she captured so much more than we expected. Perfection.

Macramé, jute rugs, Persian rugs and sunflowers. Wanted that look and achieved it. I wanted a macramé alter and finding one big enough was tricky! Found one on eBay and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
Me and Matt spent the whole day before the wedding setting up the venue ourselves. Every detail was done by us. It looked exactly as we wanted. And it gave us the butterflies even more because we did it ourselves. Our wedding done by us. So personal and intimate. A dream come true.

We didn’t actually have a cake. Having only 25ish guests we didn’t think it necessary. So instead we had donuts. Lots of donuts!

As we got married in Cornwall we spent a week there and the wedding weekend we had to ourselves while my parents had the kids. So a bit of a mini moon then. We had our honeymoon a few months later in Croatia. It was so pretty. A place we had always wanted to visit too!

My dad walking me down the aisle. Dancing with our kids at night. Hugging my mum before I went to the alter. Walking down the aisle as a married couple. Holding each other as husband and wife on the rocks on the beach with the sea crashing right by us. Heaven!

Enjoy the process of planning your day, 1000% get a videographer. That video will give you all the butterflies all over again and try not to worry and stress.
