Sarah-Louise and Liam

WWW followers Sarah-Louise and Liam had the most dreamy France destination wedding ever, held at Château Largorce on the 22nd June 2019. They really made the most of their 3 day extravaganza; before their wedding they had a pizza and Pimms night and the day following their nuptials they had a pool party, now doesn’t that just sound so fun!?

And so onto the day itself, they were married outdoors against a beautiful gazebo adorned with flowers surrounded by all of their loved ones. They then went on to party outdoors with lots of personal touches including family photos, a wine bottle table plan, cork place names and a Jenga guest book to name just a few. It all looked so wonderful. One of the most amazing moments has to be their outdoor first dance complete with sparklers and a firework finale. What a moment!

Finally I am totally coveting all the outfits, Sarah-Louise looked amazing in her Hayley Paige gown, Liam wore a dapper grey three piece suit and the bridesmaids wore shades of lilac in different styles. They all looked really fantastic. Flawless Photography captured the whole affair so beautifully, thanks so much for sharing these incredible shots with us.

The Proposal

24.04.17 – After being paired together as lab partners in science class in 2003, Liam waited 14 years until he proposed. He ran 26.2 miles with a ring at the 2017 London marathon and proposed at the end! He arranged for a film crew to capture it all and it went viral online! See link here!

The Vision

To create our own ‘greatest day’ and give our guests a weekend they would remember and talk about for years! We hoped for 3 love and sunshine filled days with free-flowing wine and non-stop laughter!

The Planning Process

Once we were set on France we took a road-trip, we mapped out various châteaus and drove 1500km’s viewing them all until we found our favourite. And when we did, we knew it would be the perfect venue to host all our loved ones. The château I thought would be the one ended up at the bottom of the pile!

I spent 6 months searching for my dream dress, I wasn’t stopping until I got the ‘feeling’, eventually I spotted a picture on Instagram and I hunted down Fleur de Lis – Blush by Hayley Paige from Wild Heart Bridal.

The Details and Decor

• Lots of freshly cut Lavender
• Grandparents and parents wedding pictures hanging from trees on the terrace
• Handmade table plan made from sticks, twine and wine bottles
• We had a cork theme from the beginning of our planning when we sent out our save the dates, they were used as holders for the name places on long tables
• Hand fans for the ladies
• Tissues on the chairs for ‘happy tears’
• Jenga guest book
• Old fashioned Citroen crêpe van as the evening food

Bridesmaids

I gave my 6 girls a Dulux colour card with shades of purple and left them to it. They are too unique and individual to all wear the same dress so I have them free reign on shoes, hair and accessories.

The Honeymoon

We took a mini-moon straight after the wedding to Sicily then honeymoon’d in November to Kenya, Abu Dhabi and the Maldives.

Memorable Moments

• Walking the 100 stone steps from the top of the château with my dad to meet my husband to be by the river
• Golden hour in the vines
• Surprising ALL our guests with a huge firework display as our first dance faded

Advice For Other Couples

• Be unique
• Make a spreadsheet to keep track of costs and budget
• Brides make a speech! I did!
• Make it more than 1 day!
