This Afrofuturist inspired editorial curated by Jade & Joy Events is just so beautiful. There are geometric patterns used in both the cake creations and stationery, earth tones are found in both the attire and decoration. Not to mention dried flowers everywhere.
I especially love the wooden sculpture backdrop and the modern furniture. It just oozes cool stylish vibes. The bride looks flawless with gorgeous hair and makeup looks plus two striking bridal gowns. Meanwhile, the groom wears a simple shirt and trouser combination accessorised with statement jewellery. Wow!
Casey Crowe Taylor Photography, thank you so much for sharing these incredible shots with us.

This shoot was inspired by the textures and motifs of Afrofuturism. It incorporates geometric designs and warm colors into an intimate outdoor ceremony and reception. The arrangements by Gilded Grace Floral were designed to combine the wild, earthy elements of nature with metallic touches as a nod to the Afrofuturist aesthetic. Allison of Liberty Baking Co. incorporated a variety of geometric designs into the wedding cake and mini cakes for the shoot. With the addition of edible paper-like elements and florals, the desserts combined the mathematic with the organic for a unique effect.
The bridal gowns by WaLu Designs were designed and created to emphasize the contrast of nature and technology. The bride’s “day” gown was a simple, flowy bohemian piece in a light cream, and her “evening” gown was a highly structured, tea length dress with an exterior of rust and an interior of dark green, which can be seen at the bottom in the skirt’s asymmetrical hem. In addition, both the bride and groom wear African-inspired jewelry by Black Pepper Paperie Co.
We forwent a ceremony arch in favor of a contemporary art piece by Vector Picasso, which was handmade for this shoot. The wooden sculpture combined soft curves and strong angles, reemphasizing the contrast hinted at with the bridal gowns.
The tablescape layered different materials and textures like stone, straw, and glass to show that a wedding tablescape need not be limited to white tablecloths and gold chargers. In addition, the floral arrangements by Gilded Grace Floral complemented the bridal bouquet and headpiece and drew the eye up to the clear sky above.
