I just love how chilled out WWW readers Liliana and Pedro are, they are so relaxed that despite proposing to each other often, they never got round to getting hitched. But when they spotted a competition to win a wedding, they entered, and won!
Their Quinta da Fonte Fria wedding is a result of that fateful contest entry and what a gorgeous day it was. Whimsical, colourful, intimate and emotional, it was all held outdoors on the farm in Portugal.
They had their jeep with them and even cut their cake inside of it. I love how they toasted with beer and then celebrated with their cute dog. Such a personal and special way to get married!
Ana Pastoria thank you so much for sharing your beautiful images with us. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I did.

We have been proposing to each other for quite a while now but didn’t have any immediate plans to get married – both due to shortage of time and budget. As the pandemic made us work extra hard (both at different hospitals, the groom as a nurse, the bride as a children’s association worker).
Suddenly we came across a giveaway promoted by Ana Pastoria Photography that included a free intimate celebration of love – and won it! In two weeks we got our dream wedding come true.
We fully trusted the photographer and decorator’s vision. We knew we wanted to get married in a relaxed environment with just two of our closest friends officiating and being our witnesses We didn’t have the time or the budget to plan anything, so when we realized we’d won a mini-wedding giveaway by Ana Pastoria and a Pajarita we were thrilled.
From the get-go we decided their ideas and vision for a simple, sustainable wedding on a farm was just what we dreamt of, and we gave them complete creative control. It was really special to be surprised on the day with all of the perfect and whimsical details!
Quinta da Fonte Fria is a rustic glamour venue in the heart of Portugal. It has over 1ha of green spaces, with a forest, swimming pool and a gorgeous stone building to get ready at. We found it ideal to have a wedding close to historic sites, river beaches, mountains and the perfect gastronomic location. Furthermore it’s super private and beautiful, so we could bring our jeep and enjoy all of the space.
The groom already had the suit from a few years back and decided not to get a new one.
The bride’s dress was from Jesus Peiro Porto, who lent the dress for the giveaway. It fit the theme completely and was made extra special with the shoes from Namorarte, which incorporate a beautiful pattern inspired in the old tradition of the Portuguese “love notes”. The bride wore high-heeled shoes for the ceremony and sneakers for the rest of the day.

The ceremony was conducted by the “maid of honor” and best friend, who made it super personal and intimate and made the bride cry a few times. The groom surprised the bride with the rings, that were a bit too big for her fingers, and which he funnily started by placing on the right finger of the wrong hand!
As it was such a small affair we didn’t have video, but we did have the most stunning pictures we could have asked for. Ana is exceptional and her ideas and work with light are absolutely stunning. I got emotional the first time I saw the photos and think I’ll always feel very strongly when I look at them, as they convey our day and our love in such a beautiful and complete way!

Alexandra, the head of a Pajarita, is amazing. She has a great eye for decor and colour, and her attention to detail is outstanding. She made our invites, menus, signage and vow-holders with watercolor on paper. Then she created an elaborate bouquet, centerpieces, headpiece for the bride and bowtie add-on with greenery, flowers and fruits she collected at the venue, making everything sustainable and virtually cost-less!
The cake was also incredible (red fruits and champagne) with the perfect coloring and details, it was straight out of a dream (about cakes)!

The whole day was memorable, but saying our vows was a magical moment. It was also very fun to cut the cake in our jeep, have our first toast with beer and share the late afternoon with our crazy lovely dog, Frida!
The most important thing is to trust your vendors – tell them your thoughts and leave everything in their hands. They know what they are doing and you’ll love to be surprised!
Sometimes it’ll even be better than in your dreams! Just enjoy your day and your love, and be happy!
