Welcome to the sun-drenched and beautiful Kooroomba Lavender Farm wedding in Australia of Verity and Josh.
Their day was effortlessly gorgeous, with a white colour palette, simple decor and sensational flowers. I adore the stylish outfits, chic three-tier cake and the relaxed atmosphere.
Jessica Turich Photography, thanks ever so much for sharing with us these utterly charming shots.
We have been together for four years with the first year of our relationship being long distance with myself in Toowoomba and Josh in Gladstone. The long distance was almost a deal breaker at the start (more so for me) but we realised there was something between us that just clicked and it was like we had known each other for years. It was enough to make the long drives and many flights worth it with some weekends that year spent meeting halfway at Rainbow Beach.
I moved to Gladstone in 2019 and we got engaged the first weekend after that extended lockdown in June 2020 when we returned to Rainbow Beach for a weekend. Josh proposed at sunset on the dunes at Carlo Sand Blow. Because of all of the uncertainty with Covid, we waited over 6 months before seriously beginning wedding planning and we booked our venue in early 2021.

Our wedding day didn’t have a theme. I am not sure how to describe the style but think timber flower boxes of pink, white and toffee roses and pops of blue delphinium and floating candles.

We tried to add personal touches on the day, my dad made timber boxes for the flower arrangements and both my parents walked me down the aisle.
Most vendors were found by following their Instagram previously and just loving their work. Others were found by word of mouth or from recommendations by our venue. Our standout vendors were; (and a reason why!)

Did you write your own vows? Yes, we did. We wanted our ceremony to reflect us as a couple and this was really important to us.
First Dance Song: Dance With Me – Morgan Evans & Kelsea Ballerini Where

It is hard to choose one moment! I loved having both my parents walk me down the aisle to Josh, that was very special. Also having the people closest to us in one place to celebrate our love was also such a unique feeling I can not explain.
Seeing Verity arrive through the chapel doors.
A large part of weddings are emotional but I think the speeches were the most emotional for us. There was something about have having our parents and bridal party speak from the heart about us as individuals and as a couple.

We honeymooned in Far North Queensland – Cairns, Atherton Tablelands and Port Douglas for two weeks after the wedding. Beautiful weather and a beautiful part of Queensland to explore and relax.

Take some time out alone with your new husband or wife at some point after the ceremony to just to step back and take it all in together.
After some dancing later in the night, we went back down to the chapel with our photographer who wanted to get a night photo and it was just five or ten minutes that we could be together and have that “pinch ourselves” moment.
The other thing I would recommend is to work out your priorities as a couple and don’t compromise on those things and it helps to plan if you know what is priority.
Wow, just so pretty.
Verity and Josh, thank you both so much for sharing your wonderful Kooroomba Lavender Farm wedding story with us.
