WWW followers Leanne and Richard are kindly sharing their beautiful Lainston House wedding in Hampshire with us. Their day was classic in style with a clean aesthetic and some seriously stylish outfits. You’re going to love it!
There was a sublime sage green and white colour scheme with pretty blooms and lots of romantic candles. In fact, their whole wedding lighting scheme was so magical! I adore the sweet owl ring bearers, the pretty confetti moment and the striking portraits in the gardens.
Thanks ever so much to Chloë Caldwell Photography for sharing with us these truly stunning images. Take in every fantastic moment and their words of advice at the end too.

I was a follower during the planning process. I downloaded a lot of the wedding planning charts and the seating plans which I found really useful as I like to have charts, lists, and be organised.

Rich is originally from Winchester so we regularly go back there for days out, lunches etc and we usually take walks up St Giles Hill because I love the view.
We were celebrating Christmas together early as I’d be flying home to Dublin to be with my family and he was staying in Southampton, we had a lovely day in Winchester planned and when we took our walk up to St Giles Hill he got down on one knee at the viewing deck.
He has always said that he wanted to propose somewhere that would never change and that we could always go back to.
Before I started actually planning, I thought I wanted this huge day with lots of additions like lights, photo booths etc. But actually, when it came to the planning, I realised I just wanted to keep it simplistic, classic, and clean-looking.
I had A LOT of Pinterest boards and that helped me decided on the greens and whites, it just felt fresh and simple. I kept that theme throughout, the tables were decorated with eucalyptus and candles. We had a budget of around £25,00 in our heads with a little bit of flexibility.

We had the ceremony in St Marys church in Twyford which Rich has really strong ties with. Both him and his brother were christened there and his mother was a bell ringer there for 20 years, it felt right to use that church and it is stunning inside.
The music we just kept with traditional hymns and church songs.

We had a budget of around £25,000 in our heads with a little bit of flexibility. We could have kept costs down but we both knew that we really wanted our reception at Lainston House.

Chloë Caldwell Photography. We honestly couldn’t recommend Chloë enough. We explored a number of photographers but were really drawn to Chloë’s bright and natural style. From the moment we had our first zoom call, we knew she was the perfect fit for us, she is so easy to get on with. Chloë sent us through her brochure in the lead-up to the wedding with helpful tips, it was so thoughtful.
Chloë was so responsive when we had questions in the lead-up to the wedding and we had another zoom closer to the wedding to discuss plans more in-depth and her attention to detail is just incredible. Chloë made the day seamless, she was incredible at organising people for pictures and was so lovely to have around!
My husband really doesn’t like having his photo taken and she really put him at ease and made it really easy for both of us to just enjoy that time together. Her attention to detail is just fantastic and we are in love with the end product

The styling I wanted to keep pretty simple and fresh to go with the theme, lots of candles, eucalyptus and whites and greens with fairy lights in the room also. We used Laurel Designs as our stylist who just knew exactly what I wanted from the start.
I was going to try and do some DIY but honestly, I just left that to the professionals. I didn’t want any added stress as we had not long bought a house as well this year. The only bit I did was I put pictures in frames of our loved ones who aren’t with us anymore and we had them on one of the tables as a nice reminder.
The flowers, I asked Zoe that she keep them quite fresh also so a mix of white flowers and eucalyptus, the bridesmaid’s bouquets were smaller versions of mine and then we had lovely buttonholes for the men’s suits as well as corsages for both the mothers.
The cake was a three-tier cake (two tiers white chocolate & raspberry and one tier red velvet) it was so nice and Lucy did such an incredible job. We used some fresh flowers to go around it also from the girls at Laurel.

We went to St.Lucia for 10 days which was just bliss.
Honestly, the whole day was memorable and I’m so happy that’s the case. From the morning to the first dance, I remember it all. Everyone kept telling me to soak it all in and I really made sure to do that.
But what I remember most and what was really special is the first dance or the first serenade as it ended up being because Rich isn’t the best dancer so he sang the whole song to me instead!!!!
Also the owls. I had surprised Rich with owl ring bearers on the day as they’re his favourite animal and I thought it was something just really different. They were fantastic and really added something super special to the day.

Pinterest will be your best friend, always keep lists, and just enjoy it.
If it starts to become stressful take a step back, it’s meant to be an amazing time in your life. There are so many things out of your control on the day but just take it as it comes and soak it all in.

Oh, what a delight!
