Welcome the glorious Springtime Woolas Barn wedding of Heather and Marcus in York.
Their day was absolutely beautiful, bursting with colour and stunning spring wedding flowers. Think peonies, daffodils and tulips galore, not to mention a striking hanging arrangement in the barn.
Then there were the super stylish outfits, the show-stopper buttercream cake and the happiest of portraits. Thanks ever so much to Hayley Baxter Photography for sharing with us these sublime images of such a special celebration at Woolas Barn.

Lockdown June 2020. Just come downstairs after having a shower, Marcus looking a little suspect. In the kitchen. Marcus said Max (our Springador) had a question to ask me.
Max had a note in his collar rolled up. The note said: “Mummy, daddy has an important question to ask you. What takeaway do you want tonight?” I turned round and Marcus had a ring box. So I told him to get down on one knee.
Bubbles flowed afterwards. Obviously, I said yes.

Laidback venue, big party, bright and vibrant wildflower themed.

Simple and straightforward.

Woolas Barn, Appleton Roebuck, York.
The first and only venue we actually viewed. We drove up the driveway and I said ‘Uh oh, I am in trouble here!’. We both knew instantly it was the one. We booked and paid a deposit there and then.

Dress: Rosea Bridal. I am lucky enough that my sister in law to be owns a bridal shop so I had the choice of many different outfits. Dress was from designer Rachael Allen. It was the first dress I tried on which I eventually went back to. It was simple, elegant but had a show-stopping back.
Suits: Marcus wanted a relaxed, casual vibe. So we went for blazer and chino look. Blazer from Skopes and chinos from ASOS. Marcus wore a slightly different shade of chinos from his groomsmen.

Hayley Baxter – made our day so relaxed and perfect. The pictures are just breathtaking.
Flowers by Daisy Hoban Florist, cake by bride’s cousin, stationery by Lauren Jane Dixon.

Absolutely everything!!

Didn’t I tell you? Totally and utterly divine!
Heather and Marcus, thank you both ever so much for sharing your wonderful Woolas Barn wedding story with us.
