Lydia and Luke are with us to share their utterly beautiful Cotswolds manor house wedding. Set at Birtsmorton Court in Worcestershire, their day really was a fairytale.
They wanted a colourful day, and I love the darling pink and yellow styling. Not to mention the cute pup who had a picture-perfect moment with a sweet sign, alongside Lydia and Luke. From the stunning outfits to the sunny skies and flower cake, I am sure you will love their celebrations.
Thanks ever so much to Cotswold Pictures for sharing with us these fabulous shots of one very joyful day.

Luke proposed in June 2021 on a Disney theme walk in Heartwood Forest in St Albans. I am a huge Disney fan which is why he suggested we go on this walk.
Luke is a bit of a prankster so pretended to fall over to make me come over and then pulled out a ring completely unexpected.

We wanted a fairly small wedding with all our important friends and family, and a huge factor was a venue that allowed our family dog to be a part of the day!
I love the outdoors so I wanted a venue with beautiful grounds that guests could enjoy. I wanted a venue that would allow me to fulfil my dreams of being a princess for a day.

The venue was Birtsmorton Court in Worcestershire. It is a beautiful medieval house with a moat and stunning gardens. They also allowed dogs at the venue which was really important to us.

My wedding dress was from Wed2B, it was the first dress I tried on and instantly knew that was the dress I wanted. I tried on several others but kept going back to the first one. I chose it as it truly felt like a princess dress.
Luke’s suit was from House of Cavani, I ended up choosing it for him as he hates shopping!

The ceremony was in the Great Hall at Birtsmorton Court and we had a string quartet for the service and reception.
Bridal entrance song was: “Here Comes The Sun” – The Beatles, exit song was “Married Life” from Disney’s Up. Our reading was “Time Travellers” by Terah Cox.

Photographer was Noel from Cotswold Pictures, he did an amazing job, we are so pleased with our photos. The only issue is there are so many beautiful pictures we have no space left in our house to put up anymore! We cannot thank him enough and could not be happier with the photos.

We wanted colourful decorations following a yellow/pink colour palette.
My favorite flowers are sunflowers so we wanted mini sunflowers to be a main part of the bouquet of flowers. Floral Roundabout took my vision and made the most beautiful bouquet of flowers – better than I could have imagined. Since the wedding I have managed to dry and preserve my flowers so I can always have them as they were so beautiful.
We also went for having colourful candles on the tables. All the tables were named after countries we have visited together as we love to travel. Wedding favours were homemade – small clay hearts with our guests’ names on, we also made our wedding menus, invites, table card names and seating plan board ourselves.

For our honeymoon, we went on safari in Kenya.
It was an incredible experience and a highlight was a morning hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara. During our time on safari saw the big 5 and so much more! We then spent the following week in Zanzibar which was beautiful. We absolutely love travelling and are about to go on honeymoon part 2 to the Maldives very soon!

The whole day was memorable and we loved every minute. For me, a main moment was the first look with my dad before walking me down the aisle.
We also loved having our family dog Barney there – we honestly think it was the best day of his life and his tail did not stop wagging once. He particularly loved the catering staff who gave him lots of attention and treats!

Not to stress about the small details as the day goes so fast it’s really not worth the stress, just be present in the moment and enjoy it!

Oh so special.
Lydia and Luke, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your mesmerising Cotswolds manor house wedding story.
