Today on the blog, we feature a stunning Barbican Conservatory Jungle Wedding beautifully captured by Emma-Jane Photography.
Rebecca and Dan are an amazing couple who wanted a wedding that mixed a jungle theme with the concrete jungle of London… and what better place that the Barbican Conservatory.
Rebecca and Dan got married on separate floors of the Ace Hotel in Shoreditch, a super stylish venue that provided some fantastic getting ready shots. Rebecca chose a slim-cut, vintage-inspired gown adorned with intricate beading and details, along with bottle green silk dresses for her bridesmaids. Dan opted for a stylish open-collar, no-tie look, with white trousers and shirts, paired with royal blue velvet jackets for all the groomsmen. The result was a super stylish bridal party!

From there, it was a black cab ride to the Barbican Conservatory. They were fortunate to have a lovely sunny day, which cast beautiful light into the conservatory as Rebecca walked down the aisle. We captured some fantastic shots of the couple around the stunning architecture, placing them high among the layers, and had fun with their bridal party amongst the leaves!
They had jungle-inspired table décor, featuring personalised leaves for place settings and an epic jungle-themed cake with miniature versions of themselves sitting on one of the tiers.
The day continued with dinner and speeches between courses, featuring very personal and funny moments. Next up were dancing and a photobooth—a super fun day to capture!
I am a fashion-inspired wedding photographer based in London, covering weddings across the UK and internationally. I’ve been fortunate to photograph weddings in Italy, Malta, Atlanta, Qatar, and Santorini.
My style of wedding photography is inspired by my fashion photography background, focusing on styling, angles, and editing to create images that are both fashionable and relatable to the couple. I pay particular attention to details and backdrops that other photographers might overlook.
My favourite time of the day is the couple shots. It gives my couples a private moment together, probably for the first time that day, providing me with loving, fun, and relaxed content to shoot. This time allows me to play with backdrops and great lighting, especially at golden hour, which offers the most romantic lighting of the day.
Make sure you allow enough time for each element of the wedding day. The day will go by so quickly! If something is expected to take 20 minutes, allow 30 minutes instead. This way, you have a contingency if anything runs over. For example, walking from A to B in a wedding dress will take longer than in jeans, so consider this when planning each element. I often provide guidance on timings—having shot enough weddings, I’ve become a bit of an expert in wedding day planning.
