From inception Wedissimo has hosted annual wedding photography awards. Previous awards, with guest judges, are set out below.

The 2025 wedissimo wedding photography awards

The Judge this year is Millie Pilkington, who is best known for her pictures of HRH Prince & Princess of Wales and remains one of the most pre-eminent wedding photographers of our time.

How does it work?

Public vote – The public voted for their favourite photographs in each category.

Winners selected – The photos with the most votes became the finalists who were shortlisted for an award. Millie has picked the best photos from the shortlist

What is Millie Pilkington looking for?

Millie gave us some guidance on what she was looking for to win the competition

Millie is attracted to moments of raw emotion in photography. She is seeking photographs that capture the essence of punctum—images that evoke raw emotion, humour, and a deep connection between the viewer and the moment.

She wants to see authenticity, where the spontaneity and silliness of life shine through naturally, drawing us into the heart of the experience. While post-editing is allowed, submissions should maintain the integrity of the original shot and avoid artificial manufacturing or AI-generated elements.

She will judge submissions valuing images that resonate on a personal level, creating a genuine bond with the audience rather than a polished, staged aesthetic.
