Get set for one very special and cosy day indeed. Introducing David and Jacques’ autumnal garden-inspired wedding, swoon!
Being avid gardeners I love how they brought their passion into their wedding. They used seasonal squashes and pumpkins alongside stunning autumn wedding flowers. The result was magic.
Think dapper suits, twinkling lighting, cute dogs and rustic wooden touches throughout. Of course, there was a lot of love and emotion too. Such a warm, relaxed and intimate celebration of their love!
Jenna Kathleen Photographer thanks ever so much for sharing with us these joyful images.

It was snowing and because we live up in Yorkshire decided to take the dogs out, we have two dogs Pipa (Golden Retriever) Freckles (Sprolly Springer/Collie).
I never expected David to propose, he’s a true Yorkshire man. But here we were on the top of Marsden moor catching our breath as the steps had taken us both out. At this point, David knelt to what I thought was to tie his shoelace. I saw a perfect opportunity to then push David down the hill, what I didn’t know was he was about to pop the question.
It became very clear when I saw what I can only describe as an emotional abdominal snowman climb back up the hill with a ring box in his hand. To which he asked me, and I obviously said yes!
Were both keen gardeners, so planning our wedding was very much like planting our garden, we were just bringing the outdoors in.
The beautiful autumnal trees matched our autumnal vibe, making outside an extension of our wedding. Each plant was chosen as autumn was their time to shine.

Our outfits were the hardest part, we couldn’t find anything we liked. We knew we wanted texture and being from Yorkshire tweed was the way to go. The colour also needed to tie into the season.
We managed to get our suits from Moss Bros at a great price, 3 pieces for about £150 each.
I fell in love with the burgundy, David decided on the oatmeal although we had to try and fix a way to link our outfits. So, we wore matching shirts from Reiss David linked to mine with a burgundy bowtie. This was a subtle way to link our outfits together.

This was very much lead by David, he has a very eclectic taste in music.
Then we left to Diana Ross, as I said eclectic!

Our photographer was Jenna Kathleen. She was perfect for us, calm and professional. We loved the natural feel to all the photos and she really captured the emotion on camera.

Our stylist was Emily K Weddings. This was the start of our design, we knew we wanted squashes and pumpkins. It was 29th October so always needed to have a Halloween reference.
We had sedums pots as name cards, but this also allowed people to take them as favours. Luckily, we were able to pick them from our garden which saved a lot of money.
Our cake was made by our friend Claire, it was amazing. Referenced our dogs and chickens.

Our Honeymoon was spent in Mauritius we stayed at The Ravenala Attitude.
Walking down the aisle, it goes so fast. The feeling of seeing everyone there, smiling and celebrating your love is so powerful.

Enjoy your day, nothing can be perfect. Things will go wrong but don’t worry, when you look back you only remember the best bits.

Goodness me, so beautiful!
David and Jacques, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your autumnal garden wedding story with us.
