Kate Marie Event Styling had the inspiration to bring French opulence to the Cotswolds; Located at Stratton Court Barn, Oxfordshire. Kate’s vision was to set the scene for a fun, wild and relaxed shoot full of love and personality using luxurious bold and soft colours of purples, blues and gold.

The wonderfully talented Sarah J Scott Photography captured gorgeous depth, striking colour, personality and authenticity during the shoot, and that’s what life is about.

Kate Marie Event Styling and Acorn and Oak Weddings transformed the venue with a ceremony full of big luscious blooms backdropping a banquet table fit for a Queen. Strong gold charger plates compliment the delicate details of cut crystal glassware and light blue napkins.

A stunning cake accompanied by macarons, provided by Euthymia Cakes by Eva Cockrell provided a Parisian backdrop to this intimate setting.

All florals were created, by the immensely talented Victoria Wright Floral Design, using foam free mechanics for a more sustainable method of floristry. Kate and Victoria’s ethos is, go big or go home, and when two minds collide, magic is created.

We wanted to bring opulence to the 21st century so used sustainable items where possible. A favourite of our stationery and signage provider, The Oxford Calligrapher, is to work with mirrors for signage, and sustainable eco friendly stationary, showcased in this styled shoot.

Our bride’s dress was the stunning Calissa by Madi Lane Bridal, supplied by Butterfly Bridal Boutique and our groom’s suit was provided by Dragonfly Groomswear and Formal Hire.

Millie Makeup, our makeup artist and hairstylist created a natural look to accentuate the bride’s features. Hair was prepped and styled with Keracare products, to create a full natural look, and to show off the beautiful handmade vintage hair pieces by Vintage Adornments.

Makeup was all about skincare prep to give beautiful glowy skin- our favourite thing! The first look was paired back with a soft use of violet colour on the eye, we then amped it up for a smokier eye for the later photos. The use of purples and violets on the eye was a great tie-in for the colour theme but it works so well as a smokey eye colour as it can look gorgeous without being too heavy.

Full of laughter and fun, Kate wanted this shoot to be wild, loose and free, showcasing that weddings should be fun and individual.

Oh so dreamy!
