We’re headed to The Old Parsonage in Didsbury, Manchester today for these utterly charming and whimsical wedding ideas. The inspiration for the shoot was music, folk style and bohemian vibes. The result? A truly stunning set of images captured by the wonderful Gail Secker Photography.
I think you are just going to adore some of they key elements from this inspirational wedding editorial. First up, the cake table was just immense, think flower cloud installation and perspex signage for an artistic cake creation. Then there was the awesome bridal hat accessory adorned with blooms and so perfectly boho. It really complimented the gorgeous dresses, not to mention the flawless bridal make up and hair looks. Do look out for fabulous florals in tones of the season, exquisite stationery designs and simply divine styling. Enjoy.
This amazing photoshoot was testament to how friendly collaboration can truly work at its best. Through a combined network of like minded talented connections a fabulous ensemble came together from the moment Jacqui put her initial shout out. Within a week all the suppliers were on board, brimming with inspiration and eager to get creative! With images of a romantic, bohemian, musically themed shoot featuring an adorable poetic couple, Stephanie’s folksy style and thoughtfully curated dresses provided the stylistic inspiration as the contributors quickly came together.
With Zoey’s exceptional eye for styling, Kate’s fabulous flowers, Laura’s spectacular cakes, and Natalie’s sophisticated stationery our stunning couple Molly and Andy joined us at the Parsonage in Didsbury to dress up and get creative!
The evocative garden surroundings of the historic Parsonage provided the perfect backdrop to intimately capture Andy and Molly as they ambled and serenaded one another amongst the trees.
With her sultry brown eyes enhanced by deep copper tones and flawless natural makeup from Jacqui Scanlan , Molly exuded her free spirited charm in a stunning handcrafted vintage style dress from Wilderness Brides, inspired by nature and perfectly accompanied by the elegant ethereal floral arrangements from Perfect Bouquet Full Of Flowers, with rustic ribbon adornment from Silk and Purl.
Complementing the fabulous occasion was the vibrant jewel-like macaroons and stunning hand painted cake from Sugar Fancies as well as the elegant stationery from the very talented Jellypress.
As the photographer, I thought the entire shoot was an absolute dream. A particular highlight for me was being able to get in close and capture the finer details of Molly’s dress, hair and makeup. I loved everything about this shoot – the setting was perfect, the makeup divine, the flowers and overall styling were flawless – but the collaboration will be the lasting memory for me. Creative suppliers working together to realise a vision, almost effortlessly.

The parsonage in Didsbury, Manchester is an absolutely gorgeous hidden gem in the heart of the city and with its secluded, almost secret, walled gardens it became the backdrop for our cool, bohemian, musical themed styled shoot.

Mollys makeup was amazing! Jacqui used MAC face and body to achieve soft, natural and flawless skin that embraced and enhanced her stunning facial features. She made her gorgeous brown eyes pop with bronze and copper tone shadows along with Meghan Markle’s favourite “Teddy Eye Kohl” by MAC, giving a sultry depth to enhance her eyes. She chose a berry lip colour to compliment the flowers and overall theme of the wedding.

This beautiful, wildly hand painted cake by Laura at Sugar Fancies suited our free spirited couple perfectly. The deep berry tones complimented the makeup, flowers and styling to a tee! And the macaroons in their jewel like colours were the metaphorical icing on the cake!!
The most stunning dresses were provided by Stephanie at Wilderness bride. Exquisite detailing and simple, classic designs inspired by nature and heritage, these dresses and separates are just divine. Stephanie came up with the idea of The Parsonage as our venue and I think it perfectly complimented her British made dresses. Simple elegance at its very best!

Kate’s bouquet and ‘floral cloud’ table hanging were stunning as usual. She never fails to surprise me with her creations. Inspired by nature, her designs are modern with a wild and unstructured look; her designs are never short of spectacular. The deep reds and light pinks, with natural foliage, totally complimented Molly’s makeup and the sultry cool feel we were looking for. Her bouquet was finished beautifully with some raw silk ribbon by the wonderful Cheryl at Silk and Purl.

The table styling was provided by the very talented Zoe from Bespoke Styling and Events. Her attention to detail is flawless and her eye for great design is impeccable. Working closely with Kate, the florist, she created a wonderful wedding table, focusing on natural beauty and using raw elements and textures to enhance the main focal point, which was Kate’s floral cloud. Zoe seems to be able to work to any theme and totally understands the vibe of any shoot!

Natalie’s designs, from Jellypress, are contemporary, rich, decadent and dreamy, and were a lovely detail to photograph alongside the flowers and bridal jacket.

This shoot was a dream and the team were amazing. My photographic style is fine art, filmic and creative, with inky black shadows mixed with brighter tones to create a sultry but harmonious feel! I am very proud of these images.
