You just won’t believe the setting of this romantic Boulder elopement in Colorado in the US! With the most amazing scenic views of the Rocky Mountains, it really was picture perfect.

Kimberly and Bryan were married amind the COVID-19 pandemic but made it work for them, despite the challenges they faced. However, it made them realise all the more that it’s the people around you, not the details that truly matter. That’s an ethos I am fully behind here at WWW.

I have to say though they both looked stunning, I adore the pops of red and the striking flowers. Such a beautiful celebration of their love, captured perfectly by Josie V Photography. Enjoy!

The Vision

We always wanted a small wedding, so COVID did not seem like it would be as big of an obstacle for us when we first started planning. We planned to get married in Rocky Mountain National Park with a small group of friends and family, but the permit was cancelled 10 days beforehand due to capacity limits.

I contacted Josie and she suggested we hike up to Dream Lake for a sunrise shoot a few days before the wedding so that we could still get photos in the park. I borrowed a dress from my best friend and Bryan packed an extra suit and we decided to make it work.

On The Day

On the day of our wedding, we were able to spend more time in the moment with our family and friends who braved the pandemic and traveled from Atlanta to share this time with us.

We involved both our families in the backyard ceremony and were able to sneak in some more one-on-one photos before the sunset. Honestly, I would advise everyone to do their wedding photos this way! There was much less pressure to get the ‘perfect photo’ on our wedding day since we knew that Josie had already captured so many beautiful moments earlier in the week.

We are still planning to have a reception at some point but we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful wedding.

Advice For Other Couples

Bryan: Planning a wedding is never easy especially when the pandemic throws one or three curveballs at you. Having to adjust dining, lodging, and then change venues at the last minute was tough, but when you have great family, friends, and an amazing partner, you realize it’s about the company around you more than the details of the day.
