Settle in for a romantic, summery and totally beautiful Chateau de Queille wedding in France. That’s right we are joined by WWW readers Gabrielle and Thomas whose destination wedding was a total dream! From the soft and romantic styling to the pastel flowers and exquisite outfits, I defy you not to fall head over heels for their nuptials.
They had a beautiful candlelit ceremony, followed by a barn reception and a special outdoor first dance surrounded by sparklers. What a day!
Many thanks go to Awardweddings for sharing with us these divine images of such a gorgeous celebration.
Gabrielle and Thomas on WWW
Yes, I’ve been reading WWW for a while now as it’s packed with amazing inspirations that fit perfectly with the wedding vibe I was going for.

Tom organised a gorgeous and sentimental proposal. Taking me back to Oslo where I had spent my childhood and absolutely loved. He proposed to me on the top of a mountain ( Vettakollen) after a morning hike to watch the sunrise over Holmenkollen where we lived. We then spent the day sledging and drinking champagne!
We wanted a relaxed wedding celebration with our family and friends. We chose a beautiful chateau in the South West of France, with lots of character and wanted to gather all our closest people for a weekend of fun.

Our planner Clémentine Ward from Awardweddings presented us with several venues in the South West of France. We visited a few places and just fell in love with Chateau de Queille, a gorgeous chateau near the Pyrenees.

My wedding dress was a pre-loved ‘Grace Loves Lace’ gown bought from a beautiful shop called ‘Gillian Million’ (@gillianmillion). She recommended I have some alterations by Sanda Valentina who was incredible and managed to add length to the dress so that I was able to wear the heels my Mother wore on her wedding day.
Tom wore a tan linen suit from Hawes & Curtis.

We had a symbolic ceremony in the old chapel on site. It was a beautiful chapel decorated with lots of candles and flowers making it a very romantic service.

We had a photographer, Mark Ward from Awardweddings who captured the entire day in a journalistic way.

We went for a chic boho rustic styling with lots of pastel-coloured flowers and a mixture of wood, linen and glass decorations. We chose a style that would complement the venue.
We had beautiful stationery from Atelier Rosemood. We also had personal touches with polaroid of each guest as place names during dinner.

Heading to Singapore and Australia in April with our little boy!
The first dance. A moment we were both quite nervous about but which was so special and fun!

Cliché but it really does go so So fast. Try to enjoy and soak up every moment!

Oh my! Such a dream!
Gabrielle and Thomas, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your incredible Chateau de Queille wedding story with us.
