We’re clinging onto those gorgeous summery vibes today with the vibrant, bohemian wedding of Kat and Zack – all captured by the wonderfully talented Dawn Derbyshire Photography. This lovely pair were married on the 10th June 2017 at Armstrong Farms Bed & Breakfast, Pennsylvania, surrounded by their closest friends and family in a truly beautiful celebration, bursting with colour and personality.
There is so much to love about this wedding, but some of my highlights are the tables adorned with multicoloured glassware, those lovely bridesmaid’s gowns and fantastic floral crowns – this bright couple have got mismatched detailing down to a T. Look out for Kat’s turquoise nails and rings, dream-catcher earrings and stunning off-the-shoulder dress that shows off those incredible tattoos. There’s also a rather fantastic array of cakes to salivate over, and not to forget my favourite festoon lighting that really shows off this delightful barn and lake venue. Enjoy lovely ones!

FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER | After meeting online, having an adorable little guy named Kaz, and moving from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh, Kat and Zack decided to tie the knot. The pair, along with an amazing team of vendors coordinated by the always fabulous Devoted to you Events, had a family filled wedding full of fun and personal touches. The farm was a perfect venue, allowing for a fun kids’ area, lawn games, and a picture perfect location for the ceremony and portraits.
The pair incorporated personal, sentimental elements like having Zack’s ring made by a friend who owns Studebaker Metals, a smudging ceremony after Kat was escorted down the aisle, and having a bridal party made up of family members. By trusting their vendors and the amazing team at Devoted to You, the pair managed to perfectly pull off the laid back vibe they were going for.
Kat and Zack started the day together, with Kaz running around as they all got ready. Marisa Julin worked her magic with make up and hair for all of the ladies, including pinning in all of the gorgeous flower crowns provided by Community Flower Shop. The bursts of orange, yellow and green were perfect with Kat’s Daughters of Simone dress from Glitter and Grit and the floral bridesmaids dresses from Show Me Your Mumu. Kat paired a fun pair of Jeffery Campbell booties with her dress while Zack rocked a fun blue suit with a bow tie.
After getting ready, the group wandered the farm for portrait time, taking advantage of the gorgeous property all around the Armstrong Farms Westminster Preserve. After wrapping up photos, everyone headed down to the ceremony on the lake. Community Flower Shop accented the naturally gorgeous space with fun floral elements that framed the dock. After being walked down the aisle by both of her parents, Kat met Zack at the dock for the smudging ceremony. Once they were officially married, the newlyweds danced and high-fived down the aisle!
For cocktail hour, guest played games on the lawn surrounding the barn. On the wrap around porch, place cards featuring place cards by Fresh Cut Prints that matched the invitation suite hung and large dreamcatchers were strung from the beams. Once entering the barn, a large floral chandelier made by Community Flower Shop was the star of the show. Each table was decorated with jars of loose flowers, along with colorful glassware provided by Vintage Alley Rentals.
Cakes provided by the Butterwood Bake Consortium along with mini pies from Piebirds rested on stunning vintage cake plates from Vintage Alley, giving guests a variety of options for what kind of cake they wanted! Once they did their first dance, Kat and Zack snuck out for some photos with a sweet vintage car before dancing the night away.
