A really warm welcome to Amy and Henry who’s Combe House Hotel wedding in Somerset was nothing short of glorious.
Amy wore a stunning vintage wedding dress with green velvet shoes, meanwhile, Henry was suited and booted in a grey suit with floral accessories. I have to say they both looked totally stunning.
Some of the elements from their day I love most have to be the daisy flowers, the pretty flower cake and of course the cutest dog ring bearer you ever did see. So sweet!
James and Kerrie Photography, I can’t thank you enough for sharing these amazing images with us today.

A long time coming! I proposed on holiday last year when we were staying down in Devon. We took a day trip up to Dartmoor which was where we had our first date and I managed to ask Amy to marry me.
We were hoping for a small and low key wedding that weather permitting would allow us to have the service outdoors somewhere on the Quantock hills. We knew that we had to follow guidance and had to limit our guests to 30 people but that allowed us to ask our immediate family and some very close friends.

Amy loves all things vintage and so was determined to find a dress that had a history. Kate at Ashwell & Co in Bristol had selected a few that she thought would work and it didn’t take Amy long to find the perfect dress.
Henry always wanted a nice suit and it didn’t take him long to find a three-piece. Not much of a story behind it but hopefully he’ll be able to give it its own story.
We were lucky enough to have our ceremony outside in the corner house at Combe House. We were forecast rain but the sun came out early and didn’t leave until the end of the day.
We weren’t allowed readings due to restrictions however the registrars did a wonderful job of making our ceremony unique. Amy walked down the aisle to City and Colours’ “Northern Wind” and we had our dog Dill as the ring bearer with my best man.

Cake by Little Buttercup Cakery – We had a three-tiered semi-naked cake with pressed flowers decorating it. Tib did such a brilliant job.
Claire Tottle Wedding Flowers – It helps to have a wedding florist in the family and my Mum really outdid herself. The colours were dark green, yellow, orange and some peach.
Amy sourced 1970’s napkins and napkin rings for all the tables, to go along with the vintage theme along with an old suitcase for guests to leave cards.
Handwritten bookmakers as place markers and favours and invitations designed by a friend.

We managed to escape back to Dartmoor for the week and spent a good few days hiking up and down the Tors and relaxing in the evenings in the middle of nowhere.
It doesn’t need to be a big wedding. Of course, if that is what you want go for it, however, we had the most special and memorable time and we managed to spend time with each of our guests and didn’t need to stress making sure everyone was having a good time.
