Abi and Sam’s Curds Hall Barn wedding in Norfolk was an absolute joy and I am going to share with you why.
First up, their day was super personal to them, filled with emotion, romance and love. Set in the Spring, they created a cosy rustic feel to their barn venue, with soft draping, oodles of candles and greenery teamed with neutral flowers.
In fact, their whole day had a timeless and neutral colour palette which looked ever so stylish. The modern stationery and signage were designed by Abi and she’s actually in the early stages of developing a wedding stationery business. Isn’t that amazing? Of course, I also have to wax lyrical about their fashion-forward outfit choices too. Oh my!
Huge thanks to Aurora Grey Photography for sharing with us these tremendous images of their very special wedding story. You’ll be sure to love them all.

Holkham Beach has always been a special place for us and this is where the proposal took place.
I was told to get ready for a Friday evening date night, when arriving home from work was also told to pack for an overnight stay! Sam had arranged for a charcuterie picnic with champagne of course which we enjoyed sitting on the beach, watching the sun set. This is when Sam popped the question!
We then sat and enjoyed good food and good champagne, accompanied by our little dog Fred! We later headed to The White House, Burnham Market. Here we stayed in one of their beautiful Sussex Suite and stayed for breakfast the following morning.

We knew that we wanted a timeless, classic wedding but with a twist! We also knew that we wanted a more neutral colour theme and decided on black, white and soft, neutral pinks.
Our friends and family are also greatly important to us both so we knew the vision for our day would need to highlight this. Due to both working in the wedding industry growing up, we always knew we wanted to be heavily involved in the planning, set up and décor of our day.

Walked down the aisle to an acoustic version of ‘Here Comes the Sun’. We chose to write our own vows for an extra personal touch and had readings from two of our closest friends.

Styling was simple, elegant and timeless. We went for neutral tones throughout which complimented each other.
As part of our décor, we hired some beautiful, antique pieces of furniture including sofas, coffee tables and rugs. We also had soft lighting installed with lots of floral greenery and drapes to soften the look of the barn and add a more romantic feel.
We had LOADS of candles in hurricane vases, these were down the aisle surrounded by rose petals during the ceremony then used during the wedding breakfast to add a cosy, romantic feel.

For our honeymoon, we stayed at the amazing Zoetry Wellness Retreat in Mallorca.
Here we enjoyed the hotel’s ‘Endless Indulgence’ package, went wine tasting at a local vineyard and enjoyed exploring the island – visited local Sunday markets and exploring small towns, beaches and coves.

Writing our own vows, having a cardboard cutout of our dog Fred to accompany us on the day, dancing the night away with our closest friends and family. Having our bridal party with us the following day for a sports day and picnic!

Make the most of the whole weekend – make it last and enjoy every single moment. Everyone tells you but it really does go by in a blur!
Also, make sure when planning your day to ensure the choices you make are for you and your partner. Make the day personal to you both that way you will love every minute, your guests will have the most incredible day if they know it’s personal to you.

Goodness me, how beautiful?!
Abi and Sam, I can’t thank you enough for sharing with us your incredible Curds Hall Barn wedding story. What a pleasure it’s been.
