As the oldest Marriott hotel in the world, the Marriott Breadsall Priory is an exclusive venue steeped in history and set in beautiful surroundings. With 400 acres, including landscaped gardens, ornamental lake fountain and 2 golf courses, as a picturesque venue we are rivalled by no other in the area.

How does the planning process work for your couples?

Initial inquiry.

First Meeting – discussing packages, suppliers, current trends and themes, overall wedding planning process.

As many meetings throughout the process as required.

Menu Taster – Tasting a number of dishes and working with our head chef to tailor your ideal menu for your day.

Meeting with Master of Ceremonies and Wedding co-ordinator to discuss final details and we’ll take all the worries away.

Tell us about a typical wedding day, what’s involved for the venue?

The couple can relax on the day of their wedding; they need not lift a finger. Our dedicated wedding team will take care of everything from the set-up to the end of the day to ensure it is everything that our couples have ever imagined.

Our master of ceremonies will guide the couple and the guests throughout the day to ensure that everyone is where they need to be.

No wedding day has ever been the same, from helicopter landings to festival themed weddings to outdoor blessings on the lawn in front of our iconic fountain, we do it all!

What makes your service different from other venues?

Marriott Breadsall Priory is extremely popular because it is an ‘all in one’ venue. People love it here because we can hold civil ceremonies, outside blessings, wedding breakfasts, evening receptions and everything in between. We also have 112 bedrooms on site for your guests to book at discounted rates and make the most of our on our site leisure and health and beauty facilities. We are extremely flexible, some people will come in just for a ceremony and others will have the whole day here.

Could you tell us some information about your packages/prices?

We can provide anything from pre-set packages starting at £4550 to a bespoke wedding day where our wedding coordinator works closely with the couples to put together a package that suits their needs and requirements. We are very flexible and can offer a range of different catering to suit anyone’s budget.

Do you have any tips for couples in selecting their wedding suppliers?

With your suppliers, try to book as many services from 1 supplier as you can always get a discount with the more you order.

Although it is good to get creative and make things such as place cards, table plans, invitations etc… for your wedding, don’t give yourself too many tasks. Get all bridesmaids and family members involved to take the pressure off you and your partner.

Are you seeing any trends for the year ahead?

We are getting more and more requests for outdoor blessings and wedding receptions. Therefore we’ve been working on utilising our outside space more for 2017/ 2018. We have hundreds of acres of outside area, which we are hoping to make the most of with the use of food trucks, outside ceremonies, outside games etc…
