Ready for the awesome Digbeth wedding of WWW followers Sophie and Alex? Yes, you are.
Well, welcome in and settle down for one very special celebration indeed. Sophie and Alex married alone with two witnesses at Aylesbury registry office followed by fun in Digbeth and a spot of Five Guys. Sounds epic right? That’s because it was.
From their stylish outfits to the gorgeous bouquet, cool accessories and kick-ass smoke flairs, be prepared to be blown away. I love that they just wanted to be married and do it cheaply, you can really feel the love here.
Massive thanks to Photos By Hash for sharing these totally incredible captures of their day.
That’s a funny story… knew it was coming. We designed the rings together, (from Bloody Mary Metal).
On holiday in Cornwall and after many trips to romantic beaches, Alex’s brother in law took us to Wheal Coates. A small cliffside hike later, to a bench overlooking the sea, I nervously started talking about my now sister in law’s dog and in the same breath, Alex said “yeah, he’s a little shit, isn’t he? Will you marry me?” And obviously, I said yes.

Get married. Keep it cheap. Have a photographer that matched our style and bouquet of dreams.

Aylesbury registry office then Digbeth then Five Guys 😀

Alex wanted to be comfortable so opted for some black jeans, a white shirt and Vans.
I also wanted to be comfortable but not TOO bridal and after trying on a fair few dresses, chose an ASOS dress and wore my DM’s.

The ceremony was intimate as it was just us, our two witnesses, (Alex’s parents), with our other most important people on a video call. No music!

Bouquet was by Emma Cox Floristry. After following her on Insta, I knew straight away that I needed one of her bouquets, which worked out quite well as she’s just down the road from Hash.
Hair and makeup were done by my good friend Jodie, as I wouldn’t trust anyone else with it.
I also wanted something different for my hair accessory, so I went for a raw crystal crown.

Alex’s ring being too small and having to cut it off with a Dremel when we got home.
Walking through central Birmingham to visit HMV and Five Guys while I’m in a wedding dress.

Do what makes you happy and measure your finger!
Oh my wow!
